Reset ships on new owner

Post by Reallylongunneededplayername » Sat Jun 29, 2019 12:17 pm

So, Love the ship system..BUT!

This happen: All ships had owners that weren't online, One was for sale, But the skiff was elsewhere.

Can we have a ship reset button or that ships automaticly reset on new owner?

As a note you can recover some but not all of them by heading to Crow's Nest and taking a skiff there. I'd also like a reset but just thought I'd mention that.

Maybe make it's when for sale the skiff appears at the sale point?

Or maybe an option of return ship, because a lot of times the person dies so ship stays out at sea. Would be nice if the owner could command the ship to return. So at least they could release it and the skiff would return. Instead of having to wait for a reset.

Unless it's been changed or it's bugged out, rental ships do return if the ship goes up for sale. It takes time for them to return however and depending on how far away it is it could take 15 or 20 minutes. What would be really neat is if a PC that rented a ship is logged off for 15 minutes, the ship goes up for sale and returns.

Oh the year was 1778...

The boats are not returning on rental. They're not returning on abandon. They're just staying wherever they are, and it's become a cultural thing that if there's no skiff, you're just wasting money to rent them.

They need to return. There's a lot of nautical adventures being stonewalled by this. Only two crews can do pirate writs a reset right now, which is silly.

There's actually meant for the rental ships to return when they are abandoned but it seems its not working although from logs it should work so I am not entirely sure what's going on there, but worth to add to the list of bugs to look into.

I think it is somehow related to being /docked/ with certain objects that are out at sea
