Crafting skill and dc...
Trying to figure out how the amount of skill in a crafting art translates to dc. For example say i have 25 points in tailoring and want to try and craft a suit of armor with a dc of 50... would that amount even be close to enough to succeed?

The amount of skill is exactly what it is...so if you have 25 points, you need to roll a 25 or better to make the 50 DC item.
Re: Crafting skill and dc...
Well wont be able to do the dc 50 one for a while but the dc 34 might be possible then.

Correct.
Re: Crafting skill and dc...
Note if you have sufficient Piety with a Crafting deity, they may step in should you roll poorly.

Rolling a 20 will always be automatic success, whereas rolling a 1 will always be a automatic failure.
God saves on crafts depends on whether you have a deity with Knowledge and Invention aspect or not. The god save proc'd on craft will not trigger a CD, but the god save triggered by another aspect will, which then turns off the god save for your craft for the duration of the CD.
To minimize the failure chance of a certain craft, you simply need to raise your trade skill up to the indicated DC minus 2.
Example: DC 50 means a 48 investment in the craft will suffice, as rolling a 1 is an automatic fail anyways, whereas rolling a 2 (48 + 2 = 50 vs DC 50) is a success.
The failure rate increases at an increment of 5% for every 1 trade skill investment less than the indicated threshold of DC - 2.
Anything beyond the threshold of DC - 2 does not benefit for the craft.

How certain are you on this? I've never seen a 2nd craft save within a few minutes of the first (after raising Piety), but I frequently get them the first failure. I generally wait an hour or so before I try again for anything important.

Me too. I’m almost certain it is on a cooldown. I would love to know for sure.

Re: Crafting skill and dc...
After testing it extensively, you guys are right about the god saves now having CDs. As for the exact amount of time required, it is safe to assume it'd be an hour. I have only tested up to about 4-5 ticks of time passing before failing the crafts on purpose.
I used 1 rank in Art Crafting to attempt numerous rough Sapphire stones for the tests.
It probably has something to do with a recent update about god saves no longer proc for basic crafts. I vaguely remember two consecutive failures on some low-end crafts dropped my piety from 100% to 50% in the past.
As it stands now, there is definitely a CD on god save for crafts.

Thank you for testing this! I always waited until next IG day, but I’ll try it earlier and see.
