Barbarian Rage

Post by RedGiant » Fri Sep 14, 2018 1:00 am

Not sure if this is mentioned elsewhere, but Barbarian rage bonuses seem to be tied to the weapon you are using, and when you switch weapons during rage, these bonuses do not transfer. This almost makes the cool throwing axe buff nearly useless, since you have to choose which weapon you want to buff.

This also seems thematically off. Barbarians themselves are raging, they are not empowering their given weapons like a spell-sword or AA.

This explains it pretty well. In case, you haven't seen the page.

Was familiar with how weapons tied to Rage now from the change logs...but maybe more a suggestion then? This is, IMO, not how it should work. Again, its the Barbarian raging...not a weapon imbue. Would love to see the Rage bonus apply to whatever weapon a Barbarian equips. Surely our resident scripting wizards have the tech.

As it stands now...the cool throwing axe buff you would really only do in the rare instance of a MoB on cliff? This seems off...

I'm pretty sure that'd stop them from benefiting from bard song, though. Possibly -twohand damage, for that matter. I think the game only allows certain 'sources' of damage to overlap.

It would work fine. On-character damage stacks relentlessly and into infinity, hence why cleric-zilla buffs work alright.

Oh word? Yea, do that then. It'd just need to be coded so you can't rage with a greatsword then switch to a scimitar.
