Favorite party compositions?
What're your favorite party/adventuring group compositions? Which races, classes, roles, etc. make the most fun for you? Any specific memories of a particularly good (or even heinously bad) comp?
I have a fondness for halflings, so anytime there is a smart-mouthed tallie-hating halfling (or gnome on occasion) in the group, I am at peace. Even better if they are fulfilling racial stereotypes and pickpocketing the racist tallies when they aren't looking.
I like having a barbarian in the front for maximum carnage and tanking. A healer/support cleric that has an extra pocket-summon ready to go in a pinch that is also the moral compass of the group. A ranger/rogue with sneaking and picking ability OR a true-flame with a pixie to get those chests and also give some backup damage. Then maybe a battle-cleric OR fighter/paladin for extra survivability.

I'm a big fan of mono-class parties.
It rarely happens, but when it does the sync-rate is amazing. All rogues are a covert ops team. All fighters are frontline formation. All wizards are artillery with summoned guardians. Clerics and druids are the Immortals. Etc.

I usually solo things, but in the past I've enjoyed a sorc/wizard, cleric, couple dps… er fighter types, maybe an archer. Race doesn't matter. I'm simple like that. Good friends is all you need.

Haha!
Better! An army of druids riding their bear animal companion into battle while shapeshifted into bears! FOR GLORIOUS MOTHER DRUISSIA!

Rogue, STR WM, Healer Cleric, Sorcerer
If you can have a fifth, take a bard. That's the cash money

Three people. Defense, Offense, Magical Support. Anything that can fill those rolls is fine by me!

Re: Favorite party compositions?
Tank, Healer, and 3 DPSs. Always works.
Totally kidding. Though I do think having at least one beefy character, a rogue (for traps and locks), and a healer is good. The beefy can -guard the weakest. They can also be the assigned looter. The rogue gets to shine with locks and traps and sneak attacks, and the healer usually does well against undead (where the rogue does little damage to them, typically) in addition to healing and raising characters from the dead =)

3 WMS and a bard
Re: Favorite party compositions?
I'm partial to having a cleric, a mage, two sword and board tanks, and two rogues.
The rogues go ahead and actually scout and report back, the tanks are there as the shieldwall, the mage for buffing and occasional nuking, and the cleric can focus on healing.

Plays: Durvayas(deleted), Marco(deleted), Hounynrae(NPC), Sinithra Auvry'ndal(rolled), Rauvlin Barrith(Active), Madeline Clavelle(Shelved)
