Spellcasting UI Overrides
Out of curiosity, are ui overrides allowed on Arelith?
I was thinking of toying about making an override to add something like the NWN2 quickcast menu for NWN1 - it made playing a caster much easier and more interesting when you could easily visually see your spells/metamagics. I would happily share it after making it of course, but I'm not going to spend the time to do so if I can't use it myself!
Of course if something like this already exists that I didn't find and someone can point me there, and it's allowed, that'd be awesome.

Re: Spellcasting UI Overrides
That looks more like a recolourization than a spell menu?

I can't speak to something like that being allowed, but I would install an override like you are discussing instantly.
Re: Spellcasting UI Overrides
True. But I also doubt you can modify nwn 1 user interface easily if at all. Even beamdog has postponed their own work on it. The recolorization does help in locating spells.

To be fair there are aloooot of problems with EE that need fixed before they can probably even look at the UI... It is a much older game so they likely could also be easier to edit, specially since i believe codes been added / edited / fixed to fix some the past bugs with it? (Or at least attempted too)

If it helps, they did announce on the stream today that they're already working on UI changes.
Re: Spellcasting UI Overrides
That was one of the few things I did like about nwn2 those quickcast bars. Of we could get something like that i would be happy.
I dont believe that there is anything in arelith rules about not allowing overrides like this. The only overrides Arelith does not allow is those that affect character skills and feats.

Are the DMs able to give an answer?

Re: Spellcasting UI Overrides
They could never find out if you did use a UI override, so even if they were against it (which they probably aren't) it would be impossible to enforce.
