You know how when you cast a spell with metamagic, any wanded or potted used immediately afterwards are also affected by the metamagic? So what if you cast maximized bull's strength and followed it up with a wand of enervation to imbue a weapon? Would the enervation count as maximized for determining imbue tier?

(Not played a caster in a while, so do correct me if I've forgotten how metamagic interacts with wands and potions.)

This is not much as "not knowing or being capable to", as "having cut their ability to do so".

Just my two cents on that.
wrong, you can cast prohibited wizard school spells from items just fine, the exception being scrolls

the way it's implimented with spellswords is like True Flames or Kensai, though, and it just nullifies ALL sources

For me I use it that for some unknown reason illusion magic does not attach it self to the body of my spell sword. For other mages it could give a reaches rp to why this might be.

Thought this was a FL only thing.

Nope. It's basic of NWN.
They embraced it as a thing in FL though.

That aside, I noticed two things:
Weapons don't lose the imbue when you rest, if you have them unequipped at the moment.

There are some missing spells from the table. Kirito, do you have an actual list of what spells are supposed to work with the imbue? Just so we have everything (and I mean everything) added correctly.

ALSO, the ASF from the armor doesn't stick through resets. Though I vaguely recall that the armor properties like that of the extra AC from fighter levels does stack without need to re-equip the armor. Probably worth stealing that part of the code.

Is the scaling Mage Armor working properly for everyone? My character is majority Wizard, level 8, and I'm still showing as just getting the +4 from Mage Armor, not the +8. The other level 8 effects are working, such as the APR.

Level 8 wizard?
The APR uses total level, the mage armor uses Wizard level.

Wiki says differently.

"If their majority of levels is Wizard, they gain increased AB, a new APR progression, and a bonus to Mage Armor."

Perhaps it just needs to be updated?

*Edit. Or am I just reading it wrong? It' on the same table as APR progression. Which is why I thought the two were connected.

Okay. That aside! Two things that I've been meaning to bring up.

Some spells that probably can be implemented:

Iron Horn as sonic (even though the spell descriptor was removed)
Sunburst as magic damage.
Prsimatic spray as random between electric, acid and fire.
Evard's Black Tentacles as magic, even though the tentacles themselves do bludgeon damage.

And, the on-hit effect of the spellswords is very, very random. Sometimes it may trigger all the attacks of a flurry, sometimes none at all (and this is in the case your targets are 20 points below the save's DC, so even if it's not shown in the combat log, the effect should still be happening).
I'm okay with it being somewhat random or having a percentile value of chance to trigger, but it's a little disconcerting right now, since it is a lot of offensive potential lost - specially when you are fishing for low rolls.

Are there particular spells which you see this on?

I haven't watched it closely on arelith, but having spent much of the afternoon trying to figure out why acid is working right It's certainly triggering on every hit locally.

Nnnnnnot really. I tend to dual wield electric/acid, and the two trigger very randomly.
I mostly use maximized acid fog and max chain lighting for the two.
The worst case of this may be with Magic, since it has already a pretty low chance to trigger, and along the random triggering means that you see one dispel/year.
(How does that dispel work anyway? Never seen it actually dispel anything).

I was just notified that the previously mentioned bug of the elemental damage stacking has been fixed.

I'd like to take this moment to unite all active spellsword to mourn in a minute of silence for the demise of our rainbow blades. The secret may have not gotten out, and it was a short lived fun, but their awesomeness may linger in all our hearts. May the prismatic power never fade.

Iceborn his char be dead mate, sadly he was a awsome spellsword... sorry...forcemage!

That said there are plenty of other spell swords around.
And that reminds me, have all the elemental bugs like the acid burn not afterburning been fixed.
I admit I have been to busy running around with a negative energy (evil blade).

No, when work stops screwing me over i plan on re-writing from scratch both acid and electric imbues since they don't seem to want to work.

That'll be a couple of weeks at least

Are we supposed to be able to apply flame weapon and imbues?

Yeah, you effectively get 1 spell, 1 temp essence, 2 imbues at the moment
