So, I tried to move some plants around (because the person who'd planted them before made a mess of our garden), but when I tried to set them down again it told me 'this area is fully planted' or whatever. Even removing all the plants, it wouldn't let me plant another one.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, exactly, and I can't find anything on the wiki about planting seeds. What am I doing wrong? D:

Sounds like a bug. Try checking again after a reset, perhaps?

I still want to know how planting works, and why I can never harvest strychnine from the tree.
Re: How Does Planting Work?
All you have to do to plant a seed is drop the seed onto the ground in a fertile area. You'll know that an area is fertile because when you walk into the area, you get yellow text that says something like "This ground looks fertile for planting".

Yeh, but there are limits and stuff, I think it's 5 to a plot based on my testing.
