[closed] Unable to make new characters

When I tried to make a new character just now I got the following error:

Invalid character - player login refused.
There was an error generating your character file

I tried to make an elven ranger, I can log in to my already existing characters just fine and I was able to create characters two days ago just fine.

EDIT: I just managed to make a human barbarian without issue, this problem only seems to happen when I try to make an elven ranger.

EDIT2: Pressing recommended on everything also made the character successfully for me, something in specific that I select when making the ranger seems to make the character invalid, I'll put all my choices below

Class: ranger
Alignment: True Neutral

STR: 14
DEX: 20
CON: 10
Wis: 12
INT: 8
CHA: 8

Probably a side effect of the fix to prevent the creation of corrupted characters, will investigate.

I managed to narrow it down further with some experimentation, it's selecting any voiceset other than the default Human, Female, barbarian that is at the top that makes me unable to create the character.

I'm getting this also when I tried to make a new halfling rogue.

This is happening to me too. Human fighter.

Me too, tried making a Human Male fighter, with the Typical Fighter voiceset

Should be fixed now. Sorry about the delay. Figured being unable to make new characters was better than an infinitely crashing server.

I am starting to get this suddenly, where I cannot make any new characters. Tried on all three servers, and multiple different starting builds. With the same error message.

Melancholy Hill, these days new characters are often denied if you use a Playername that's already in use by another player (tied to CD Key).
Try logging in with a new, unique Playername to create a new character.

If you are trying to log in with a playername you used Pre-EE make sure you have your 1.69 CD Key linked to your current account using the following steps in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=17387

If you still have troubles, please send me a PM with the playername you are trying to log in as.

After a full re-install I was able to make a new character.
