[Closed] Purple dragon Knight levels won't allow past 5

According to the wiki overlay of the Arelith changes to the purple dragon knight many of the changes take place per level and at 7 and 10 however, I have never been able to increase my levels in the class past 5. Is there any solution to this as i would very much like to complete the class as it was intended to play on Arelith.

What happens when you try to take a 6th level?

Is the option grayed out and unselectable?

Are you saying you have not been able to advance to PDK6 *on Arelith*? It used to work at least - first I've heard of a regression.

Note that the *only* requirement for PDK on Arelith is ESF:Discipline

Just confirmed this is working - Nord is now PDK 6.

well it doesn't work for me, it's not select-able I worked for the last three days to level to verify it.

Do you have a classes.2da override? (or something like that)

I have no overerides but I will try a clean install of the game after Astra's class.

It certainly sounds like something on your end is interfering with Arelith's changes.

removing workshop items and revalidating had no effect, attempting a clean install with the documents neverwinter folder deleted as well.

and no effect, the class is still greyed out with a new install and no remaining old data or options.

You have taken Skill Focus: Discipline at some point on that toon?

I'd suggest getting in touch with a DM, either by pinging the DM channel ingame, or sending a PM to the Active DMs group here on the forums. They can try to help you troubleshoot.

As long as you have the Skill Focus: Discipline requirement it should be fine, this is validated on Arelith side. If not I am a bit concerned as it must be something on your end overriding this. If not and the lastest EE version somehow messed this up would be worth testing if you fulfill the vanilla PDK requirements and can take levels:

Alignment: any non-evil and non-chaotic
Base attack bonus: +4
Feats: mounted combat (requires ride 1)
Skills: intimidate 1 rank, listen 2 ranks, persuade 1 rank, ride 2 ranks, spot 2 ranks

Perhaps a DM could help you with that for testing.

a DM told me it only goes to 5 but the wiki and others say 10 I am very confused now. Vers is a level 22 holding on 23 over this issue. He has well beyond the requirements for the class and is level 5 PDK, I have already attempted a clean install of the game and another player confirmed the levelling is working. I am at a loss of what else to do.

I'm going to try installing the game on another computer that has never had neverwinter on it in any form to unequivocally verify it is not my end. Is it possible that the character being made shortly after EE went into effect is contributing to issues?

@ActionReplay I neglected to check the skill focus, it may be something that simple and he predates that requirement.

He does not in fact have the feat and must predate the requirement, I will resolve that, my sincere apologies for not having caught that prior to starting this thread.

Yeah, there was a period of time when the requirements were bugged. When it was fixed, people kept all previous levels but couldn't take anymore.

Closed. This was just a missing requirement. Class progression still worked for other characters.
