Was getting stuck unable to fight anymore when using Whirlwind Attack a bug or a feature? and in that instance you can even speak, move around normally and know exactly what caused it to happen. it wasnt touted as "a feature of arelith and risk of using whirlwind attack" it was something that pissed everyone off for decades, the only difference is it just so happened to annoy a much much larger portion of the playerbase for such a long time.
I believe scry bug happens more if the person you are scrying is doing something when you scry them, if they are just stood there afk or talking its less likely to happen, but if they are fighting, reading a message board, sitting in a chair, walking by using the mouse (holding it in a direction) or keyboard, going through an area transition, using an ingame menu. etc.
A feature and danger of Scrying that is quite good is getting magical feedback damage if you have more HP than you should have when you started scrying,
