Whirlwind Attack

Post by DM_Ironfist » Wed Sep 10, 2014 12:33 pm

While there are some pre-existing bugs with this feat, I've just noticed that it works at full effectiveness while you're being Paralyzed. I'm pretty sure one should not be able to engage multiple opponents at full effectiveness while also being rooted to the spot.

I believe this also works while under the effects of Knockdown, and perhaps others.

Thanks, I'll check for incapacitation when using it.

I mentioned this a long while back, when it was fixed so that you couldn't get stuck in it for infinity. I thought it had something to do with it being linked to a free action.

May I ask why the duration was chosen as 10 instead of 6-7 seconds[IE: a round]? ((not a big deal either way, just trying to understand what the logic was.

It's a bonus attack, so rather than getting to use it once per round and not get any other attacks, you get to whirlwind once every 1.5 rounds or so. It's still a better deal than it should be :)

Sort of. You will actually mess up your attack round when you use it. Perhaps I just don't know when.to properly use it.

Only time I get it to be more effective is if i run up to a group and can get the world.wind. off before I auto engage.
