Currently once a letter is created it can only be signed by the creator, then never again. Given that we've all manner of reasons for characters to sign things (Contracts of all sorts, particularly for more lawful characters), It'd be great if anyone that reads an unsigned letter is allowed to sign it and take ownership of it.
This would easily allow for players to create a number of new scenarios relating to contracts (for both good and evil) and give just a little more legitimacy to a large number of concepts.
Mechanically it'd allow a player reading an unsigned letter the option to sign & date it, thereby acting as if they'd copy and pasted whatever was written under a new signed letter.

Hrm. I actually quite like that. Especially if multiple characters could sign it - maybe in a special colour or some such? We have a quill Item? This could be another use for that.
Cautiously approved- if it's possible to do.

This too shall pass.
