Abyssal Citadel & other Guildhouses - Fixture Limit

Post by good man of god » Sun Mar 24, 2019 11:51 am

Hi all,

I think it is really important, considering it is a guildhouse with 7 rooms within it, and always fully populated that the fixture cap of 60 is recognised as not high enough.

How much higher can this go? Can the devs please push it higher? 100 maybe?

This is really crippling for decorating such a large guildhouse, with such character, in my opinion.

Please raise it! :D

EDIT:
I actually think this a general thing for all guildhouses, they never have enough of a fixture limit, and it would be great to see it raise across the board!

I'll definitely second this. The Abyssal Citadel is simply fantastic but there's not a lot of room to go around!

Had a similar request back in the day when I was sitting in it. The place has been super lively and has loads of folks in it. 60 fixtures for that many people is a bit goofy. (also it could use food and water npcs and maybe make that damn warlock or move him elsewhere in the module / update his dialogue to invoke abyssal powers instead of Bel)

It does feel kind of empty and outdated, maybe an overhaul? The warlocks room always looked out of place too.

Another good candidate for an increased fixture cap is the Arcane Tower commons. It has 6 quarters, and a 60 fixture limit. And the rooms are really big too.

Something that might help fixture limits, could the devs add 2 seats to couches? Right now people (myself included) are putting 2 chairs under them to give them extra seats, which bumps up their fixture cost to 3 for the functionality of 1. Although this is more of an Arcane Tower problem and not a Citadel problem. The couch is a really aesthetic object, it looks better than having a lot of chairs everywhere.

maybe if the base couches in sitting areas can just be placed in the module itself there fore cutting down the fixture total instead of having to boost it.

and if loveseats are crafted they seat two instead of one

It's probably a suggestion more than it is feedback, but I'll chime in that I like the idea to increase the fixture limit on guildhouses as long as it doesn't increase lag in the area. Some good candidates aside from Arcane tower already mentioned: Myon tower, Devils Table Temple, the inner Hub map in Andunor.

Corbin: Its---yes.

The feedback forum is locked to my knowledge, so I posted it here.

Bumping again as we still haven't had a response yet.

i don't think couches can be made to seat two since fixtures work by dropping one (1) module object down: this would in effect make such a fixture an array of three; the couch, and two [sits] spots in precise locations on both sides. having them spawn at the correct heights and distances apart sounds pretty tricky

Hellooooo back.
Though this isn't "development of the server" as IG mentions in that post.

It is just a quick and simple QoL improvement that clearly a lot of the playerbase is clammering for.

Let's please try to be a bit more open minded than "no". :D
