3 servers 3 day times
Can we have something done about this?
You run on UD, 7 am you enter surface 17:00 you port to Sibayad 10 am….
thanks god i am not playing a vampire, still it is a huge annoyance if you want to stick to playing along certain day time.

Maybe do the same with the weather also. Kinda weird when its sunny in Cordor, raining in Bendir, snowing in Myon, thunderstorm in Gulderond etc... The island is one small landmass, weather in one place should be similar to others. Arelith is not a continent and any weather system effecting one part of the island should be affecting everywhere due to this fact. Even more weird when its sunny in Cordor and then you transition into the farmlands right next to it and its snowing...

Sunder arelith, make it all small isles with bridges connecting them. Would make it so that the weather makes sense.
Re: 3 servers 3 day times
This should be an easy change to make - the weather system is based around a handful of module wide variables. It would be possible to have then stored in the shared database to be consistent across all three.Vrass wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 8:05 pmMaybe do the same with the weather also. anyone who's lived in the southern US knows how localized weather can be. There's been plenty of days when It's been raining in the city, and you drive 30 minutes north and there's snow.
or you're on the highway driving south, and it's bone dry, and as you crest the hilltop, you can see 1/2 mile away the rain is so think you can see the mist caused by the droplets bouncing off the automobile rooftops and the sheets of water gathering in the road... but where you are there's not a drop... THEN, as you drive through it. the storm is so localized, it's not even a 1/2 mile deep... and next thing you know, the sun is hammering the road turning the now evaporating water to steam.
Given the fact Cordor is on the coast, Bendir is in the farmland interior, Myon is in a forest and Guldorand is high in the mountains, I can totally believe and understand on any given day each of these 4 locations would have completely different weather.
Heck, even in Hawaii, you can snow-ski in the morning, and surf in your bikini in the afternoon.

Re: 3 servers 3 day times
I need to be able to use portals at night-time, and not get stuck in Sibayad in the middle of the day time just because I used a portal to the outskirts.
Sassy's got shoppin' to do.
I cannot imagine the nightmare for vampire players on every server transition since almost all of them are going into and out of zones that have direct sunlight. This day/night cycle thing is a killer for them~
Edit: Idea!!
What if we make it so that we can see the current time for all three servers via -date command?
