I do like the idea of giving some of the spells a secondary save VS some kinda effect. Like how illusion was given fear on phantom and weird. That was a simple change, but very effective.

Bothersome Babble
-babble .. the target loses the ability to speak all languages or cast spells with verbal components for the duration of the spell.
To cast a spell with verbal component they must roll concentration vs spell DC or take damage.
Would have both PvE and PvP use, with the side bonus of being an excellent cookie for making someone a babbling idiot. Especially if they're saying things you don't like. SILENCE FOOL!

Celebration
-celebration .. everyone in a radius around the caster is struck as drunk as possible, without it killing them (-99.9%?). They have to deal with that. Have fun.

Crushing Despair
-despair .. target gets -10 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, ability checks, skill checks, and weapon damage rolls. Will save for half? Cannot be removed by anything except the enchanter or death+raise. No -pray cheese. No Gres scroll. Nothing. Eat it. EAT IT AND DESPAIR!

Pacification
-peace .. target cannot attack, cast, or take any actions/use any items. Can walk around freely and speak normally, but is rendered entirely passive and harmless.

Rapture
-rapture .. target save will or falls into a comatose state (not sleep, sleep immunity irrelevant). They -fall onto the ground and stay there for the duration of the spell. Gres/heal can break.

Just throwing more things out there. I still like my -read idea for spying and want to PUSH IT.

There's no way to mechanically enforce enchanter's ability to read minds, or their ability to force others to tell the truth and other enchantery things. So I feel like this is a good compromise to get a very enchantery vibe going.

A repost of mine from the other thread, some of these ideas have already been mentioned above.

Raw ideas:

- Set up a temporary mind link with another willing player's mind, so you can exchange information for a short time over distance in an IC way. This could be expanded to setting up a link between two other players, that is more secure from prying.


- Spy on another player, in a different way than scry. The enchanter dips into the mind of the target, hearing what they hear and say, and/or read off their location.

- Be able to enchant NPC's to get around barriers like race/citizen requirements (this might break too many things though).

- Get better prices from vendors.

There are a lot of things that can boost the coolness of enchantment without having to rock the balance of pvp and pve.

And please don't improve dominate duration, no need to encourage a game play where you have to go fish a monster from a precompiled list before you can start your adventure.

-mist command

Based on the spell Wardmist, it creates a long-lasting mist in the area that applies a darkness effect (Ultravision negates) so long as one remains inside it, and also prevents scrying in the area, as (oops, edited: FOIG info!).
