Holding Ceremonies - Piety Gain for Attendees
This has changed in a questionable way in the last two months, possibly three.
It used to be that everyone would reap the benefits of praying as a group, which made sense as you are as a community giving prayer to your chosen diety.
However now only the cleric seems to benefit from this in any meaningful way and all other participants are capped at 0.8 per tick. This doesnt seem to be for any reason and discourages acts of group prayer by those of the same faith. so it still takes a long time to raise the piety of somebody who needs it even if you have up to 7 persons praying at once of the same faith.
Could this please be put back to how it was before?

Umm .8 a tick seems pretty good. How was it before?

the way it worked before was everyone got the same amount of piety for group prayer.
so if we have 5-6 people of the same faith praying everyone gets 2.0 - 2.4 per tick of piety back. now only the cleric gets this much and everyone else is capped 0.8, which is the same as just the cleric and that 1 person. (provided they are the same faith)

0.8 is still double the usual rate for praying at an altar of your god.
This seems pretty reasonable.

Piety is just a timesink. Capping it for ceremonies (how often do you honestly see those anyways?) only inconveniences players. What conceivable purpose would capping it serve? 1.2 Piety gain too OP (when every kill with W&D grants +0.5 and tended plants are +1.0?)? I think it's a bug.

At least we don't have to deal with the Presence and Power system that was in before Piety was a thing. That was the worst hassle ever.
I say it's fine the way it is. Gaining favor with the gods shouldn't be a fast process anyway.

Didn't you just love it when you were a priest of a lesser deity, lovingly farming up their power only for some schmuck(s) to use it all up over a couple of hours?MissEvelyn wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 7:24 pmAt least we don't have to deal with the Presence and Power system that was in before Piety was a thing. There are some very troublesome combination of deities which would benefit from ceremonies.MissEvelyn wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 7:24 pmAt least we don't have to deal with the Presence and Power system that was in before Piety was a thing. That was the worst hassle ever.

For example, being a cleric of a deity of trickery is a royal pain, because clerics get neither bluff nor perform as class skill.
