-Date console Command should display Sobriety.

Post by Kaymon24 » Wed Dec 27, 2017 9:22 pm

I think all barbarians can agree with me that the new update with the console command -date displays crafting, adventure xp, food, rest, water, and piety but it does not tell you your sobriety when drunk. This would help people so they don't accidentally die of alcohol poisoning since it can happen often with barbarians and it could solve the problem when we can just check the -date command as a sobriety check rather than scrolling up through combat history. Just a thought I would like to throw out there.

How do you accidentally kill yourself with alchol as a Barb?

I don't mean to sound sharp, I am just really curious how you do so? The Negative Dex score when you get your sobriety that low would cripple your AC and cause you to take huge amounts more DMG in combat.

When I played, I would hit -25% and leave it. Since you gain the STR Boost for being drunk, you remain drunk for a good 20 minutes and gain the MAX STR Boost for remaining drunk and you don't score a really, really low AC as a result.

Once you go sober, you just inhale 2 spirits and start again.

With barbarians AC really don't matter. HP and DR and their MASSIVE damage is what really they depend more on. So essentially some can just drink themselves to the limit and let that tick improve their strength to 5 instead of 2. But it can risk the alcohol poisoning if you can't check the sobriety.

I get what your saying with the 25% but it's easier if AC really don't matter to your barbarian then why not drink more?

Just have another drink or wait six RL minutes to find out.

Yes, please. And thanks for adding fuller info to this a few months back.

Ultra minor gripe: this command, while tremendously useful, outputs upwards of 7 lines of text to the combat log. Reduce to 2 lines for low res people?

Crafting points left: 50. Refresh: 2 hrs 22 mns 22 secs
Water/Food/Rest/Sobriety/Piety: 50%/50%/50%/60%/100%
