Some of them are minor (hobgoblin) some are greater (ogre) and some are normal (imp).
Tieflings and aasimar are greater.

Off the top of my head - the things that rquire RPR are
*Fey needs a 30
*I think you need a 20 rpr to be a RDD Kobold.
*Assassin requires 20 rpr
And I -think- that's all that's gated off via rpr rating.

This too shall pass.
(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)

I still think changing adventure mode XP to 50/hour regardless of your RPR would be a good step.
That way the RPR itself just a bonus and not adding or taking away hours and hours to time it takes to burn through your adventure XP.

Re: Reworking the RPR system
If there is no carrot to strive for, people will become less interested in trying their best and will instead opt for the path of least resistance...that of least effort. That is human nature.
There are many pros and cons for changing RPR and other things like that. One of the biggest cons in not changing it I agree with, which is perceived favoritism or availability of DMs. That is always an issue, but not something that can be fixed. I am not saying the DMs are wrong in this at all, which is why I said "perceived" favoritism and availability (heck, they have lives too!).
But by and large the system as it is works fine. There will always be those who find things unfair at both ends of the spectrum, but I suspect this is like any bell curve and the vast majority are content. In that case, changing something for the sake of changing or appeasing the minority will do nothing or could cause more harm, often unforeseen.

Re: Reworking the RPR system
I spend too much time occasionally running in circles in my quarters while chatting with people OOCly to ever deserve 30 RPR.
Re: Reworking the RPR system
Cortex, your forgetting that you can and will be ignored if they do not like the player behind the character. No matter how fun or inclusive the RP they generate or fit in the setting.

Re: Reworking the RPR system
Please refrain from attacks or implied attacks on the DM team. It was never the intent of this thread to suggest that DM favoritism or time zones are the core issue with the RPR system - both of these potential issues are dealt with by the team recruiting new DMs on a regular basis.
As people have no more mechanical suggestions for changing how RPR is handled, I'm requesting that this thread be locked.
