Aspects

Post by Seekeepeek » Sun Sep 10, 2017 3:17 pm

War and Destruction
Killing things
God raise
Mostly evil gods

Hearth and Home
Healing.
Using healing kits will not raise your character's piety.
God raise
mostly good gods

Knowledge and Invention
Crafting
Failed crafting attempt succeeds.

Trickery and Deceit
Using -disguise Pass a failed disguise check
mostly evil gods

Nature
Tending to bushes/mushrooms.
Clerics, rangers, and druids only.
God raise

Magic
Spellcasting
Failed enchantment might succeed
ok

when i look at good gods most of them have the useless Hearth and Home aspect. and i often find my self picking a god based on if has War and Destruction.

would be really nice if you could make a choice with whatever aspect you want regardless of your god.

magic, nature and Trickery and Deceit Aspects properly need to be locked down to specific gods thought and why don't you get piety from using healing kits? -.-'

Honestly, whenever I don't pick a deity with God Raise, I always stare longingly at those people that would surely die in a battle when things do south and keep on fighting, while I know that if I were to be the unlucky one that rolls the 1 on that THAT one death/hold/mind save I would be staring at the bleakness of the Death maze once more.

I'd very much rather if all aspects had death raise.
Misc Changes, with the Feats and Skills sublinks.

Healing kits don't raise piety because Bioware designed them without any way to hook special scripts to their use. At least, this is the answer that has been given on the forums in the past by devs.

It wasn't a specific choice to have healing kits not raise piety--there's just no easy way to do it, scriptwise. Maybe that has changed in the last few years, though?

I'm betting that would involve far more work than it's worth the time investment, if it's possible at all.

No, there's no hook for it.

We could add one, but that'd require developing a nwnx plugin specifically for it.

Doable? Yes. Likely to happen? No.

I can think of many other ways to give piety gain on Heart and Home.

Especially some gods were taken War from them while having swordart and hunting of Evil creatures in their aspects (Eilistraee).

Things which could restore piety:
-dance
resting
food / crafting food
repairing items
crafting fixtures (decorating homes, shrines)

Time spent outside of combat. And so on.
