Re: Bloodlines Feedback
tieflings aren't even affected anything that would particularly affect devils, demons, or fiends in general. the converse is true of aasimar and the celestial type.
Re: Bloodlines Feedback
Isn't that a large reason of why many demons/devils produce mortal offspring, so they have an agent to influence into doing their bidding on the prime material plane without suffering any of the outsider weaknesses of a fullblooded fiend?
Re: Bloodlines Feedback
I was actually thinking of giving them the Amia WoF!susitsu wrote:tieflings aren't even affected anything that would particularly affect devils, demons, or fiends in general. the converse is true of aasimar and the celestial type.

it's a good thing your title is only a vague "contributor" because it seems that all you contribute is drek
Re: Bloodlines Feedback
that's cute, but it's also literally nonsensical, seeing as they are not summoned creatures.
Re: Bloodlines Feedback
Oh man. This is some spice.I was actually thinking of giving them the Amia WoF!
My favorite is high level charisma clerics with Good/Evil domain Turning and nailing Aasimars, Genasi, and Tieflings. Kaboom.

Re: Bloodlines Feedback
We have some ideas for what penalties to give Tiefling and Aasimars from some spells. But please post any ideas you might have here.
Re: Bloodlines Feedback
I wouldn't give tieflings/aasimar any penalties from spells, that doesn't make sense unless the Arelith variants are actually full on half-blood outsiders.
Instead, what would make more sense is to have surface NPC's reacting poorly to tieflings, treating them like outcasts, laurick refusing passage etc because they're horrible demon looking things.
Aasimar could get the same treatment below ground, maybe most Andunor merchants would refuse to do business with such an obvious goodie-two-shoes.

This doesn't seem like a big penalty to me, Aasimar can't even be Evil aligned.Nitro wrote:Aasimar could get the same treatment below ground, maybe most Andunor merchants would refuse to do business with such an obvious goodie-two-shoes.
Re: Bloodlines Feedback
You'd be surprised at the amount of non-evil characters that come down to make use of superior UD merchants, like a certain 1d8 temp essence fellow.gilescorey wrote:This doesn't seem like a big penalty to me, Aasimar can't even be Evil aligned.Nitro wrote:Aasimar could get the same treatment below ground, maybe most Andunor merchants would refuse to do business with such an obvious goodie-two-shoes.

Re: Bloodlines Feedback
Aasimar and Tieflings are native outsiders - This means you can't banish them to, say, Dis, but they are otherwise affected by spells as though they were outsiders. Planar binding, for instance, could work as a hold monster on them. Having dismissal work on them as it does on Imps (Fear, but not sending them anywhere) would also be fitting.

These are suggestions that I can get behind.Hunter548 wrote:Aasimar and Tieflings are native outsiders - This means you can't banish them to, say, Dis, but they are otherwise affected by spells as though they were outsiders. Re: Bloodlines Feedback
Please, wasn't that long ago UDers were flocking to the surface to purchase 1d6 essences from a certain merchant. So that seemed fine, but when its surfacers going below its bad it seems.Astral wrote:I hope they all insta die to broken drow archer ganks again.Nitro wrote: You'd be surprised at the amount of non-evil characters that come down to make use of superior UD merchants, like a certain 1d8 temp essence fellow.
