Katana Monk Builds

Did anyone ever post any good Katana Monk builds?

I mean, the benefits are obvious, but it's a difficult class to balance.

Also, so many possibilities, from Pure Monk 30 to a splash of Monk 3.

Just wondering...

Like I would think a Str build of Monk 30 would be awesome, because you get all those DeX-based feats for free...but what about AC?

Pure DEX-based monk, or...

Monk 20/Weapon Master 7/Bard 3*.

(* Or Rogue, though you're already getting Evasion from Monk.)

Str-based, two hands a katana. Just a smidge less AB and AC than a Weapon Master, but gains monk speed, monk APR plus two-hand damage, mind immunity, and just enough SR to be useful against scrolls etc.

Absolutely stupid late game potential. Better than a standard Weapon Master build in virtually every way. Absolute hell to level, though. You don't become a "real" character until more than halfway through your career.

Both of the above builds are downright busted at level 30. Monk hotfix when? It's been months and every other character I've seen has been a monk.

I had a friend who went Str based WM Monk. Had to use expertise in early levels to make up for the AC loss, but by the mid teens, he wasn't having much trouble kicking everythings butt. I had made a dex based pure 30 monk build at the same time, and I actually got envious of his build, so Str WM Monk is the way I would go.
