Post by CptJonas » Fri Aug 09, 2019 4:10 pm

Hi there...I am in temptation to try Feylock....
Any tips? (Other then "dont play worst class in game") :D

Playing a shifter would be an astonishingly poor idea. I'm glad you've decided not to do that.

Feylock is actually alright, to be honest.

Less powerful than a fiendlock but it's good and fun especially against enemies that aren't mind immune.

Dipping Blackguard for divine shield & saving throw bonus is a decent idea right now. Though I would take those levels as late as possible because you never know when a complete feylock rework is going to happen.

i'm not an expert and this could almost certainly be optimised, but this was a build i planned out recently for a character i never made:

human feylock/blackguard
str 14
dex 8
con 16 (+2=18)
wis 8
int 14
cha 15 (+2=17)

1fey1: blind fight, toughness
2fey2:
3fey3: sf:enchantment
4fey4: +1 CON
5fey5:
6fey6: gsf: enchantment
7fey7:
8fey8: +1 CON
9fey9: sf: abj
10fey10:
11fey11:
12fey12: still spell, +1 CON
13fey13:
14fey14:
15fey15: power attack
16bg1: +1 CON
17bg2:
18bg3: divine shield
19fey16:
20fey17: +1 CHA
21fey18: EDR1
22fey19:
23fey20:
24fey21: EDR2, +1 CHA
25fey22
26fey23: gsf: abj
27fey24: EDR3
28fey25: +1 CHA
29fey26: epic discipline
30fey27: epic listen

skills: conc 33; disc 33; heal 33; listen 33; spellcraft 33; tumble 30; UMD 4; 24 remaining

the idea is you have 22 base con, EDR3, divine shield, and you wear full plate/tower shield while casting with still spell and should be basically unkillable while spamming your spells

The above is certainly viable (though epic listen is optional and there might be better feat selections). Alternatively, some people opt to stack charisma for superb spell DCs, AC, and saves. Gear for con and charisma and the build will be reasonably durable. Here's a link:

Cast mind fog, cast will save spell.

Rinse and repeat forever.

They're not a bad class in terms of power, they're just the worse class when it comes to gameplay, they're very binary.
Thankfully this team is no longer being used.

Sockss#5567 for nwn mechanics questions.

I currently have a Drow Feylock lvl 13/ BG lvl 11, by lvl 30 it be Feylock 14/ BG 16.

I recommend going with Str build with some cha gear and to choose a weapon focus, I went with the spear (Fang of the Wild spear), there is better choices, but i just like the look of spear and shield.

Use Templer armor cha+3, Adamantine Bracer of Persuasion cha+2 and BG helm cha+2, the othere gear i went Str and con.
Use eagle splender to increase the Cha for more better DC and to increase the effectiveness of the divine feats.
Divine shield and might is also highly recommended as it also effects your summons.

Im lvl 24 i have AC of 50 with divine shield and haste on, AB is 38 will increase up to 44 at max lvl.

Unlimited invisibility will give you the surprise attack all the time (handy against mages) and Haste self and one other (such as your summons) which is also unlimited, then use mind fog and slow and go in for the kill..

I find this build is lots more fun and effective then going straight Feylock, as you can also kill faster with a weapon then using just the Eldritch Blast and you get a awesome Tier 6 summons to in the end to rip apart your enemy's.
