What sorts of numbers do Spellswords achieve?

Post by DeflectiveQuestion » Sat Nov 24, 2018 10:51 pm

Ac, AB, and DC-wise?

Are they viable as a frontliner, or do they require support?

The numers are not exact but:

AB: 42-44 Range (Not Stellar)
AC: In 60s (Pretty Good)
Imbue DCs: in 40s, your Spell DCs will be low.

Overall I'd rate spellsword one of the better builds for soloing content. Your biggest issue will be your AB against bosses and such but you can beat a lot of them by using your spells smartly.

Fairly close there. AC varies depending on DEX or STR, but is usually a bit lower than what you've got listed. Not by too much, though.
STR Spellsword is the way to go, really. Here's what the bog standard 27/3 or 23/4/3 get:

AB: 43-44 (depending mostly on weapon choice)
AC: 52 base in Greensteel chain, 56 w/ self-haste, not including Expertise.*
DC: 37 (23/4/3), 41 (27/3)

Overall they're fairly tanky, deal good damage/have solid debuffs, and are generally considered some of the better frontliner classes. They don't really even need that much support.

*AC calculations:
10 (base)
6 (Tumble)
2 (Armor Skin)
1 (Boots Dodge)
4 (DEX)
4 (Chainmail)
2 (Large Shield base)
3 (Greensteel Shield bonus)
5 (EMA Dodge)
5 (EMA Deflection)
5 (EMA Natural)
5 (EMA Armor)
4 (Haste Dodge)
