Healer's AC
I fail short to calculate how to bump up AC for healer without armour? Any hints?

Not bothering is one way.
Monk levels another.
Divine shield for the cha version if you're nasty/trolling.

Clerics are just socially acceptable warlocks. The devil does not need any more advocates

Re: Healer's AC
I believe certain DR spells and summons and lack of doing direct offense (no aggro) keeps you going PvE wise. (Since a mage can also solo with little armor).
Could go for monk lvls for that tumble and discipline dump if you do not care much for the UMD a bard would provide. (Between buffs (animal buffs and aura of vitality) and equipment, you should be able to get the max 12 magic enhancement bonus on con, dex, and wisdom. Can magic vestment your robes too, have an Adamantine helm, barkskin. Haste from travel domain adds another 4 ac. The ac won't be PvP competitive but you will not get auto hit by everything PvE. (Either way, you are not meant to be front line) bonus speed is kind od nice too.

If you go the way of harm yu need to survive to perform attack attack.
This is what i managed to scratch so far
Base 10
Barskin 3
Vestments 10
Deflecton 3 (can be 5 but it is breachable)
Tumble 6
Dexterity 6 (for now only items + spell counted in)
Boots 1
Armour skin 2
Haste 4
Shield 3
Death domain does not leave a lot of room and then haste is needed.

Re: Healer's AC
This is topic i am also interested in, how to make healer path with TONs of AC? Also how it would work with maybe dwarf race to gain DR if that would be a valid option? So def buffs, expertise maybe, divine shield, monk levels...to get at least 70AC+ ?
Re: Healer's AC
As soon as you start dropping in other class it becomes dispellable.Maybe make up for 3 lvls with arcane defense.
Re: Healer's AC
thats just dandy , so only way to work is 27 healer path and 3 something (paladin for saves, monk for ac and ect..) ?

Re: Healer's AC
I played classic BC for over two years. 23 levels of cleric are not enough, meleers will not dispel you right, but i expericned issues in PVE. Places where mundanes are able of solo one disjunction from high level NPC mage and it hurt....when he picks 23 / 3 (monk) /3 (bard/rouge) he lowers his dispel resistence by 3.

If you're not familiar with how dispel works in NWN, here's the simple version: The fewer levels you have in a casting class, the easier your buffs are to dispel. That's why you don't see any builds like 15 fighter/15 wizard. Builds that have fewer than ~23 caster levels generally don't cast spells at all, instead relying on wands, potions, and scrolls.

Ok, I am going with 27 caster levels so assuming that would be good enough to not get dispelled.
Re: Healer's AC
Is there a link to any good healer path build?!
Re: Healer's AC
27/3 is not dispel immune but will generally be good enough.
Your spells can still be breached though (check nwnwiki for a list of breach spells and their prioritized order of stripping spells

Re: Healer's AC
So, although a bit feat starved, with a 27/3 build would you invest in Arcane Defence Abjuration or is that overkill?

Re: Healer's AC
Definitely overkill. If you had a spare feat, sure, but honestly the only casters that benefit from pure 30 are druids and warlocks at this point.
Generally speaking, I don't see Abj defense on builds with more than 23 caster levels.
