So it has been this go to cookie forncha builds wantinf any form if ac. Isn't ever a hassle to activate that thing at beginning of a pvp fight ans does the duration even last long enough for PvE?

It's solid with 8 modifier or more. PvP can be so explosive that you don't have the time to buff up everything, but with high CHA Divine shield is often a good choice. In PvM it's solid since you can cast it just before you attack a spawn. Even with only few uses it's still highly useful for dealing with tough spawns.

A single spell to instantly pop +10 AC for a full minute seems pretty handy to me. It should not be the first thing you do in PvP, though. You want to have something else up, first.
