Monk11/Bard3/PM16
The scribe. You live in a dark place surrounded by the echoes of your own movements. You live among the shelves of an archive, a candle light accompanying your silent existence and the running of the stearin your only reminder of the passage of time. You know all that has been written and admitted to your care: the books and records on the times of birth and death of citizens, the amount of violent deaths, the yield of potato a given year. You have performed rituals of mortification to ensure the continuity of your task and that there are no petty matters, such as sleeping, drinking or eating, to interrupt your toil. You only leave your duty when you are required to by your masters. You intend to outlive dragons, to attend to your duty for nigh eternity, to witness the mountains erode over millennia. Outlive the servants of Kelemvor, judging your death overdue; hide out from the self-proclaimed agents of good who try to wrest your life from you for their own causes for they do not understand the gravity of your work.

Well, it stacks AC and Saves but good luck leveling it, you wont be able to do damage XD
Roleplay can define your characters actions but when you as a player have the ability to accept loss and understand that sometimes its better to let the other person win because it makes a better story - it is then that you become a good roleplayer.
Re: Build concept: Scribe
Correct, the character can't do diddly nor damn. But part of the fun is to discover new forms of masochism!

One huge issue with your idea is that palemasters are neither undead nor immortal, they must eat, drink and sleep. So it will have original lifespan and will die once it is run out, and won't outlast anything. From libris mortis (page 49):Opustus wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 8:40 pmThe scribe. Basically, it is an arcane undead fancier.Deathless Mastery (Ex): On reaching 10th level, a pale master gains the virtues of his deathless arts. His body becomes partly mummifi ed (though he is not truly undead), and he becomes immune to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, death effects, critical hits, ability drain, and energy drain, as well as damage to his physical ability scores (Str, Dex, and Con). He still needs to breathe, eat, and sleep as normal for his type, and he still ages normally.
I think it could be an interesting concept to play as an imp or a vampire. Those are immortal.
Or see if you can become a lich somehow.
