Spell penetration feats worth it?

Are spell pen feats needed for a wizard with 25+ class levels or is another suite of spell foci more handy?

No, especially not with 25 levels. You can lower all SR that isn't monk SR with breach spells.

Being my first magic character, I chose SP and GSP feats upon character creation because I liked the idea. Only to find out later that, build wise, they're not as worthwhile as other magic feats.

But, +4 is better than nothing, I guess. Would be great if they ever changed them to become more useful so as to compete with the current alternatives.

Until then, I derive peace of mind from "It's not the gift, but the thought that counts".

If you're playing a true flame yes considering you have no means of reducing someone's SR. It's arguably a thing to take on fiendlocks as well but it's up to debate, especially now when trasmutation gives you a big buff to your summons.
