Trying Healer Path
I built this Svirfneblin last night. The idea is to be a good healer, but also be able to solo with some necromancy if I need to. I don't know if I like the numbers, but this is what I got so far for a Svirf Healer...
Death domain is for auto empowered inflict wounds or harm that Arelith bolstered. I didn't see a need to take healing domain. I would rather be able to convert empowered harms into heals if I need to.

Re: Trying Healer Path
Imo. And emphasis on opinion. Drop monk. Go 27 cleric 3 bard for UMD and tumble and disc.
Monk is viable definitely but I'd suggest bard. Also you only need a 3 level dip not four.

This is what I did, largely because of the bard-only craftable instruments (and one particular bard-only purchasable instrument).Rabbid wrote:Imo. And emphasis on opinion. Drop monk. Go 27 cleric 3 bard for UMD and tumble and disc.

Re: Trying Healer Path
real men go CHA based protection domain
Re: Trying Healer Path
Epic evo and greater ruin but no hellball? I'd probably just get dragon knight instead for epic damage dealing myself and scrap evo focuses.
Zen archery is also a waste, your sling won't do much.

Lmao...
So... i killed that character... and the build... with fire so it couldn't regenerate or anything...
I made a cleric with 4 bard levels instead. It is much better. I just can't get into the healer path.

Re: Trying Healer Path
I was still considering zen archery. But once i can cast enough spells my new build will be good at touch attacks. So it would be a solo feat that would become obsolete around level 10 or so. Prolly just get a cool staff... it sucks svirf get such a cha penalty without the +4ac cuz i would like divine shield.

Re: Trying Healer Path
this is the healer cleric build i played and in a good party i consider it a S tier build if you dont hug enemy EDK and instantly die and instead do ur part proper. works miracles in pve

any race works but i recommend human since it gives you the number of skill points you want to have, and so your skills are concentration, discipline, heal, spellcrafting and tumble.
pre epic feats are in this order: conjuration, greater conjuration, extend spell, evocation, greater evocation, toughness. travel is always your other domain because haste
you now have 2 free feats. i took craft wand and scribe scroll. craft wand can be really useful with regaining piety or using spells that work just fine on a wand. you may replace conjuration with necromancy, or simply take necromancy and greater necromancy as your 2 extra feats. another great option is taking improved expertise to be able to tank, but this only becomes useful at level 27 and so i wouldn't recommend it.
epic general feats are EDK (or mummy dust), armor skin, greater ruin and hellball. you get two epic cleric feats which are epic conjuration/necromancy and epic evocation.
gifts should be into CON and WIS, thus ending at 30 CON and 38 WIS, you roughly get a little bit over 600 hp with overheal, while your ac should linger around 50~ depending on the domain.
as for the domain choose between trickery or plant. plant gives you 5 natural ac, trickery gives you concealment.
monk levels are 27, 28, 29, you'll need to get used to having 0 discipline and no ac for a while.
you can also select bard instead and have UMD, but if you do that you'll lose your 14 ac from wisdom modifier ( as well as 10% movement speed which is a strong ability ). generally speaking you don't need this although some certain arcane spells would be really useful in certain pvp situations, but if your head is not ten feet buried in desire to pvp then i really recommend going monk.
oh and cortex wasnt kidding there is also the option of going charisma, con, wisdom based and having probably around 60 ac or something with divine shield now that runic gear allows so but uh I haven't really explored that much and if i run into an enemy healer cleric with 60 ac i'll want to kill myself. i hope u found this useful

What the devil's the stat spread on the CHA one?
Clerics are just socially acceptable warlocks. The devil does not need any more advocates

Re: Trying Healer Path
Yea I threw one together and (theoretically) managed 58 AC with a 46 DC prot domain sanctuary so I guess Cortex isn't joking. My stat/feat spread is probably suboptimal though.

Re: Trying Healer Path
I don't know the stat spread too well, a friend who played it had just enough WIS to cast 9th spells, and everything else into CHA, with CON second. You probably could do different ways.
You can go pure cleric and not have to worry about PvP since you can just pop that Sanctuary, and do what healer clerics do, heal stuff, except uninterrupted (bar some AoEs, accidental or with TSeeing).

Re: Trying Healer Path
How can I build a hinn healer that won't suck? It's my favorite surface race. What would the ability scores look like? I won't bother with touch attacks. So can I dump strength being a healer path? Strong summons with conjuration and strong spells with evocation?
