Dex WM Feats
I've made a quarterstaff dex based WM. I'd like to take epic dodge, so I'm a bit starved for fighter levels/feats. Which two of these feats do you think would serve me the best? Of the four following feats, I can take TWO. (obv I would need kd for ikd)
Knockdown
Imp. Knockdown
Imp. Expertise
Armor Skin

Re: Dex WM Feats
I think the consensus will be KD and Improved Expertise. 5 more AC when needed beats 2 AC that's there whether you need it or not, and if you're getting Edodge, you've probably got a decent amount of sneak attack, so KD will be your friend.

So along that train of thought, how bad is it to forgo IKD and only have regular KD? Is it really that much better than regular KD?
Re: Dex WM Feats
Its not that bad. The difference between KD and IKD is simply extra 4 effective discipline points your target gets against you. I havent taken IKD for a decade and I live just fine with KD on all my melee characters.Deathdealer2.0 wrote:So along that train of thought, how bad is it to forgo IKD and only have regular KD? Sent you a message.
Re: Dex WM Feats
IKD also lets you knock down creatures 2 categories larger.
Re: Dex WM Feats
If you got lots of sneak attacks, then i think you should have IKD. Least to make a full use in PVE and against some opponents in PVP (those with lower Disc).
Re: Dex WM Feats
I'd personally go with Armor Skin and IE. Epic Dodge let's you ignore the 1st attack that would have normally hit you in a round. Armor Skin adds 2 to your AC. IE adds 10. Combined, that's a total of +12 to your AC. Having +12 to your AC will greatly reduce the amount of times that you can get hit normally, which will therefore make your Epic Dodge more effective because you'll essentially have to rely on it less often.
