HIn WM question
I already have the build, I just need to know is the Dale Sword worth focusing on shortswords as a weaponmaster hin or should I stick to Kukri?

Hins aren't humans; don't waste a feat on exotic weapon focus. Rapier's better than both, though.

If you're dual-wielding, kukri works best. If you're sword/board, katana works best. If you're fine two-handing then scimitar/rapier.

Re: HIn WM question
Go for the Dale Sword. With keen, WM 7 and improved crit, you'll get a threat range of 13-20, which is identical to the threat range on an WM7/improved crit kukri, without having to waste a feat on exotic. Plus you get +1 Str a and Runic option.
It's true that katana is a decent option, but:
A) Base damage only increases from 3.5 to 5.5, so it's debatable if this is worth a feat. If you can fit exotic proficiency in without making too much of a sacrifice, I guess it's not a horrible choice.
B) Except it is, because katanas are stupid. There, I said it.
Hin fighter with a shortsword is a classic look.

Re: HIn WM question
RP wise the shortsword definitely is nice.
That said, its easier to get a keen masterly damask kukri than a dale sword with Runecrafting - given you need 2 mithril dust and a rogue stone for a dalesword!

I believe you need the top-tier rune to add runic to a masterly damask weapon, but you're right that rogue stones and mithril dust are scarce commodities. I imagine that the progression for a short sword would go MD -> keened MD -> Dale Sword.

My drow WM who is on his 26th kukri to be thrown in basin disagrees.WanderingPoet wrote:RP wise the shortsword definitely is nice.

This is wrong. Even hitting runechests consistently, you'll probably find 2 mithril dust and a rogue stone before you find the weapon rune you need to keen a mdam.WanderingPoet wrote:RP wise the shortsword definitely is nice.
