What would be considered the Spellsword Cookie Cutter build?

I think:

23 w/4ftr/3 bard (4 attacks per round)

And 27/3 bard (harder to dispell)

Are two of the more standard ones.

There's a build in the Cookie-Cutter Build Thread. Weren't you paying attention!?!?

Just kidding. Added it, so feel free to go have a look.

Out of curiosity, how viable would this build be if you swapped fighter for 4 levels in ranger and used an Elder Spear instead of a scimitar? You lose a bit of critical range, 3 feats, and the ability to take weapon specialization, but gain 2d6 divine damage, elder spear sweets, and ranger sweets. You also get to claim to be the only person on the server to actually use the elder spear as a primary weapon. Thoughts?

You also lose out on the ability to wear heavy armor so you’d lose out on some AC or you would need to go Dex heavy to get the most out of the Ranger armor in which case you’d lose some damage (I think). But thematically it’s really cool.

Wouldn't this build already probably be using greensteel banded or chain mail? Its not like there's greensteel variants of half/full plate, unless it's not represented on the wiki. At base 8 dex it won't be that hard to get up to 14, which is all you need to max out the dex on chain mail and make it AC equivalent to banded mail.

Unless the meta is to walk around in adamantine full plate and switch out of it "real quick" any time you need to cast a spell

Edit: Not to mention, 18 Dex isn't *all* that difficult to achieve, if you did want to use ranger armor too. Base 11 + 5 (cat's) + 2 (boots) + 2 (armor) gets you what you need. idk if that's better than just sticking with base 8 and wearing greensteel chain mail, but it's an option. Just thinking aloud here, I'm curious to see what the build-wizards think about it.

Oh right, greensteel armor is medium. Disregard my previous post.
