Trueflame build questions

Post by Gazfrost » Sat Jun 23, 2018 6:58 am

I am considering on making a Imp Trueflame.

Imps have a ability to have Ultravision so that will help with spamming darkness.

But the other issue is AC maybe 3 lvls of bard or fighter so the imp can use greensteel scale armor and shield, if so can Imps wield shields? as they can only handle small weapons maybe they cant wield shields.

and the best question yet, can Trueflames get the epic mage armor spell?

If I went Dex build and having 25 dex to get blinding speed would it work for a Trueflame?

If anyone has the answers to my questions or a better way to get ac, do tell. :)

I don't believe trueflames can get Epic Mage Armor. It is very explicitly stated that only evocation spells can be casted (including epic spells), as well as spell effects from mundane flagged items.

But I think they get Hellball/Greater Ruin on cooldown as compensation.

Blinding Speed will work.

Epic Mage Armor will not.

A popular choice for trueflame is a divine class dip for divine shield.
Current character: Abigail Duskwood

They do not, it's still 1 cast/ rest.

It is explicitly mentioned on the class page that they can only class Hellball and Greater Ruin.

And those are (obviously) not infinite cast.

When playing a trueflame, in general the idea is to kill things before they have a chance to get close to you. I had a trueflame that could wear armor and shield... it wasn't a terribly useful ability.
