Druid

Post by Liareth » Mon Feb 15, 2016 8:49 pm

Druids on Arelith gain the ability to speak animal language (-an).

Like rangers, druids do not leave tracks when they transition from one area to another.

One path is available to new druid characters: Totem Druid. Totem druids may use the command -polymorph to enter or leave their chosen totem form an unlimited number of times per day (with a cooldown of 90 seconds each time).

Druid characters must worship a nature deity or draw power from nature itself (this is represented through the worship of Toril as a deity).

All druids have access to the -balance command (usable once per rest), which alters the state of balance for one population of creatures.

Druids can cast Summon Creature spells spontaneously. Spontaneous spells consume spell slots of their respective spell level (e.g. Summon Creature III would consume a third level spell slot).

Druids on Arelith gain 1 bonus spell slot per spell level.

Druid spells of level 7 and above require piety to cast, according to the table below.

Level -- Piety
7 -- 1%
8 -- 2%
9 -- 3%
Epic -- 5%

Druids may select an extra feat at level 25 by talking to the according secret NPCs.

A good question. It is only secret to those who do not go on Discord apparently, sort of like all Arelith secrets.

We should say it's 'semi secret' since I believe those are particularly known druid-related NPCs.
If they are the ones I think they are.

It shouldn't really be a secret because its prerequisites and effect are integral to some druid builds.

Maybe an admin can clean this up and post where/what/how for everyone. (Alternatively just drop me a message if you'd like to know!)

I'd rather it not be public knowlesge, it's one of the ever dwindling things I've yet to discover for myself

I actually made a character assuming the dev post on the free druid feat was accurate, only to get there and realize the post was wrong and the feat i desired wasn't there.

so jokes on me.

what a class feature.

I don't fully understand why it's gated by a WIS requirement rather than a level requirement. I don't care too much because I don't really feel as though the two epic evo feats are thematically druidy and my concept doesn't necessarily suit dragon shape, but in principle the fact that I took a more balanced starting stat spread shouldn't price me out of a class feature.

Dragon Knight is gone too which is very odd as it's 100% dragon themed.

Is this still accurate? I cannot seem to get this to work with my Druid Char.

Thanks.

This should still be the case, you find summon spells within the radial menu in the same place you would find healer paths ones and also the infi cast ones for mages.

I have the same issue on all of my druids the radial dial summons are all greyed out and un-useable, does anyone know if this will be fixed or something I'm doing wrong?

Kind Regards,

Monkeycoder.

Here I just rolled and deleted a random druid to show the process, hope this helps.

1) picture shows level 1 slots all as cure spells, right click to bring up radial menu:
https://gyazo.com/3928efd13e00c506922e9279a599d7b7

2) pictures shows selection on radial Menu to get to the summon spells. I actualy missed the first one which is simply the option on the left which then opens up into these two:

https://gyazo.com/0e90f11ac6c2edf76539f93c9f7d3d1f

3) picture shows summon in place and the spell list of memorized showing one cure spell has been used to achieve the summon.

Hope this helps and clarifies, If you have blacked out spells in the radial menu itself it in my experience is either down to having no remaining spells of that level or there is sometimes a bug where it can grey out if say you cast previously and where interupted the refresh does not seem to happen then sometimes and can do stange things, in this case i found resting fixes it.

Also worth noting if you quickslot the radial menu spell it can sometimes show as greyed in the quickslot but not in the radial, you can remove and re add from the radial if this happens.

To further clarify the radial quickslot becomes invalid every time you gain/loose a level. So it'll need to be changed often. (Same with wizards)

Sorry, not played a druid myself before, but if it's the same bug as infinicasting I seem to recall relogging or casting a spell of an equivalent level would fix it, something along those lines.
