Change them to work like traps on doors, where they go off once and then you can open the chest instead of going off an infinite number of times and preventing the chest from being opened (after all, isn't the lock what actually keeps the chest from being opened? The trap is just an attempt to hurt or kill someone for unlocking your chest and opening it)
