Jester's Jubilant Attire Adjustement

Proposal: Replace the +1 DEX on the Jester's Jubilant Attire with a rune.

Summary

As the final word for the fully-invested CHA-bard types, the Jester's Jubilant Attire is a little lacklustre. The +2 CHA and perform are both welcome, as are the spell slots. The bonus song is nice, but not particularly meaningful as with lasting inspiration you'll be regenerating a song before the current one expires.

The +1 DEX on an item that provides no base AC is somewhat bewildering. A DEX build is likely to pass this up in favour of something that provides better protection, and even dedicated bards will see more practical use out of the Mourner's Raiment, which grants the same +2 CHA, improves death and negative saving throws, provides better protection, and allows space for a runic enchantment. The loss of 10% sonic protection, 1 point of perform, and a bonus song are fairly inconsequential.

Removing the non-event +1 DEX and replacing it with a runic slot will bring the item into line with other caster-cloth-clothes (grand magi robes, inception of nightmares, spellbinder's garb) which all tend to follow the model of +2 to primary stat, spell slots, skill bonus, and a runic slot.

Also, most importantly. It'll fulfil the critical function of encouraging a wider variety of bard fashion.

Thanks for coming to my forum post.
