Trackless Step for 5% races

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:
- implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
- the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
- the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to tweak X class.

Trackless Step for 5% races

Post by Ferret Roll » Sun Jul 12, 2015 7:58 pm

Currently, any ranger checking tracks a dragon PC has gone through will find dragon tracks whether or not the dragon is shifted into their human form - presumably, the same holds true for rakshasa.

The polymorph is more than a simple illusion, and is an actual change of shape/form/size (or else dragons would have a hard time fitting anywhere). their feet should leave the tracks of whatever race they're imitating as their feet will have actually changed shape.

Understanding that race on *looks* was removed due to the difficulty of having *looks* display human or otherwise for a dragon character, perhaps adding the Trackless Step feat to 5% races to serve a similar purpose would be sensible?
