Give every class Discipline as a class skill.

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:
- implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
- the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
- the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to tweak X class.

Give every class Discipline as a class skill.

As the title. This is a pretty easy change now that we are using haks.

Discipline is a weird skill that Bioware introduced to deal with how their version of D&D's Trip/Improved Trip works. Overall it works pretty well, but the lack of any other defence means that classes are basically required to cross class into bard or a similar class if they don't possess it, or be subject to getting knockdown spammed in PvP. Even with the investment, low strength classes are usually still vulnerable to KD unless investing in ESF: Discipline and various items.

Giving every class Discipline would mostly just be a quality of life change and allow people to play pure classes if they really wanted to. For the most part it'd probably still be a little less optimal than cross classing for UMD and Tumble where applicable, and as a consequence rogue would likely become the favoured dip where bard was previously.

Importantly, however, Wild Mage and probably Healer Cleric as well would require an immediate nerf. Pure Wild Mage in particular would be completely broken more so than it already is, and both classes are probably already a little too strong as it is. Pure Druid would also become more or less unkillable, but I'm pretty sure that class is already on the nerf list.

Assuming these classes are controlled, I think that overall it'd be a neat QoL change with a relatively minor meta-shift for the better.

We are already (tentatively) planning to rework many skills, and separate them into two pools 'Primary & Secondary' with different pools for each.

So long as skills points are generally banked to dunp on the same few 'powerful' skills, any increase will only serve to fuel powercreep, just as making more 'class skills' will do the same. We not need yet more powerful builds.

I will likely paste this response to other similar suggestions.
