There are 5 classes that are locked behind being in one specific group/guild, which makes up a very significant 18% of all class choices, counting warlock as a separate class. Having 1/5th of all class choices locked behind one guild seems like an unnecessary limitation for those who do not wish to play as harpers.
Opening even a few of these up as unaffiliated with harpers and removing the token requirement would be a great move for character diversity.
There isn't a single other class in the game that forces you to play such a specific character, except maybe assassin (even Paladins have more diversity in character options).

Decouple Harper classes from harpers
You've done it [Garrbear], you've kicked the winemom nest. -Redacted
Re: Decouple Harper classes from harpers
This has been discussed within the team and we will not be doing this. While the suggestion itself is not objectively bad it is has been decided that we like this aspect of Harper Classes in D&D.
