The Underdark isn't really that dark, make it seem darker.

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:
- implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
- the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
- the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to tweak X class.

The Underdark is supposed to be just that: Dark. The majority of creatures that call it home now, such as humans in Andunor are poorly suited towards actual life in the underdark. Mainly due to their lack of ability to see properly. It would be nice if the server was more reflective of this, as it seems more an RP feature then an actual mechanical one and thus, is often ignored. I don't know how to code this, but I think an example such as below would be very helpful as an RP aid:

Poor adaptation to darkness: Characters without darkvision or the aid of a bright light (15 meters or more) source suffer a -2 ab penalty and precision skill penalty to all actions.
My Rp kinda like droppin' a betta in an otherwise serene fish-tank.

Current Concepts:
Jhaamdath Wenchslayer, Drow weaponmaster and pirate captain

Eruantien Chil Ryilnn Aelorothi Aleansha, War-mage and Diviner of Evermeet. .

We'd also have to do the reverse on the surface, which is something we chose not to do.

The reason being is that characters are expected to RP such limitations, if we instead make it mechanical we would send a message that playing in these locations is A-Okay, if you're prepared to live with the consequences. Thus giving drow penalties during daylight would likely result in more, not less, daylight play by drow.

Sadly though, you are correct, Underdark really isn't all that dark. DMs will definitely approve of surface players RPing that it is though.

Rejected.
