Add Crafting Essencials to the Crafting Matrix

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:
- implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
- the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
- the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to tweak X class.

Add Crafting Essencials to the Crafting Matrix

Post by Durvayas » Sat Apr 08, 2017 4:44 am

By this, I mean golem control stones, mithril dust, and dwarven incantations. All are chest loot that used to drop reliably, but now are incredibly rare items that are necessary for several crafting recipes.

The shortage is most stark when you go to repair runic pillars, which require dwarven incantations to fix, or to get sorcere stones which require mithril dust. Golems are(still useless) hard to replace when they die permanently if they are killed.

Adding these items to the crafting economy would be a boon to alchemists(control stones), smiths(dust), and carpenters(incantations), while also making these rather high demand materials more readily accessible to actually be used.
