Taxidermy - Crafting

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:
- implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
- the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
- the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to tweak X class.

Taxidermy - Crafting

Post by Winter83 » Wed Sep 10, 2014 8:26 am

Under tailoring

Stuffed animal blueprints (inspired by the stuffed bear in Brog's tavern :D )
We can set up creepy places with them, or hunting lodges. Besides they look sweet in taverns also.

Wolves, bears, boars.

Add some ingredient from alchemy or cooking also.

In a similar vein, suits of armour or display statues would probably work under a similar principle. Perhaps a dialogue option with the fixture would allow the owner to change its appearance.

The problem would be translating a fixture into an NPC spawner with accurate results.

Mithreas or the script minions might have a solution to this, but I would think a major problem with that would be when making our statue NPCs, we have to switch off the ability to initiate dialogue with them, or else they'd change facing. Without the ability to initiate dialogue, people would be unable to move them once placed (or is that a benefit?).

P.S. Glad you dig the bear :)

T'would.

But then, it would be cool to be able to actively change the facing of a mannequin.
