Artifacts and Relics

Post by jp.ping14 » Tue Sep 16, 2014 5:53 am

Ok, just to share a few of my own in the future entry:

*Items given to random people at the time of Vilindra's venturing days*

The Beastmaster [Treesmiter]

Given to the half-elf Jenna Le’len on the 23rd of Ches, 91 Arelith Reckoning by the Ar-tel-quessir Vilindra Cys’vires, a blade of the Luminous cloud. It has been said that the sun elf follows the visions given by the mystic seer on a daily basis, uncovering what mystique the dreams she gets during her time of reverie.

Aesthetic wise, this blade elegantly made. A hybrid of a spear and an axe, giving the wielder enough reach without sacrificing much of the power given to each swing. The blade of the polearm is rather thin, but then again, as one taps it, one could sense that the metal has been folded several times at the forge, making it rather resilient and tough.

The pole is intricately designed with several designs, primitive beast portrayed elegantly, running along the length of the blade in a spiral manner. A hawk, snake, wolf, bear, panther, and tiger… some of the examples of the beasts carved along the pole’s length.
As one holds the polearm, one could feel the power of enchantments placed on it. Primal energies will be felt by those attuned to it, while only a mixed feeling of strength and peace could be felt by those who are not.

For whatever reason this polearm was given to the half-blood, only the Luminous Cloud, Sehanine knows. Perhaps it is a sign that the Seldarine also favors those who are given half of the blood of the Tel-quessir aswell… a halberd being a hybrid of a spear and an axe… a half-elf, a cross of a human and an elf.

Aged Staff of the Lost [Ten Foot Pole]

Given on the 25th of Ches, 91 Arelith reckoning to the Teu-tel-quessir, Melaa Nia’lese by the Ar-tel-quessir Vilindra Cys’vires, a blade of the luminous cloud. It has been said that the sun elf follows the visions given by the mystic seer on a daily basis, uncovering what mystique the dreams she gets during her time of reverie.

The staff appears to be more like broken twig at first glance, but then again, as one inspects its length, several elven markings could be seen. Chipped off and broken from recognition, the elven markings could not be read with any sense… only the word “secrets”… and “of the land” could be read with relative ease.

As one holds the staff, ones senses opens up, making them keener than the usual. Tapping the staff on the ground, and feeling the vibrations of the ground as one holds the staff with great precision makes it a great tool at finding what is underneath the earth.
For whatever reason this staff was given to the moon elf, only the Mystic Seer, Sehanine knows. Perhaps she sees it fit that the moon elf be protected from any mischief she may stumble into… perhaps she just want to help her uncover the secrets hidden from keen elven eyes.

The Lithe Defender [Large Shield +2]

Given on the 5th of Tarsakh, 91 Arelith reckoning to the Teu-tel-quessir, Melaa Nia’lese by the Ar-tel-quessir Vilindra Cys’vires, a blade of the luminous cloud. It has been said that the sun elf follows the visions given by the mystic seer on a daily basis, uncovering what mystique the dreams she gets during her time of reverie.

At first glance, the shield appears thin and lightweight. But as one holds it, the strength of the material used cannot be denied. The metal is as hard as steel, but the weight is much more lighter than mithril. One could only make guesses as to how the artificer managed to create an alloy such as this.

The shield holds several elven inscriptions along the border of its circumference. Those skilled with the arcana could identify the inscriptions as a transmutation runic circle. Whenever a weapon hits the shield, the transmutation circle gives a faint glow, adding resilience to the material of the shield. It is designed in such a way that it will repel any knockdown attempts during combat.
For whatever reason this shield was given to the moon elf, only the Mystic Seer, Sehanine knows. Perhaps she sees it fit that the moon elf be protected from any mischief she may stumble into.

The Stalker [Composite Longbow +1]

Given on the 5th of Tarsakh, 91 Arelith reckoning to the Teu-tel-quessir, Kyik by the Ar-tel-quessir Vilindra Cys’vires, a blade of the luminous cloud. It has been said that the sun elf follows the visions given by the mystic seer on a daily basis, uncovering what mystique the dreams she gets during her time of reverie.

The material used for the construction of the bow is very conventional. Nothing much is exceptional save the craftsmanship shown and the curvature of the bow. It is designed in such a way that with enough strength, the fletcher could deliver arrows at a much longer distance. The length of the bow is also covered with materials of the wilds such as leaves and straw sewn together.

The string used in the making of this bow is silk. Oddly enough, the resilience of the silk, no matter how thin it is, stands up to the challenge and rigors of battle. Further inspection of the strand, one could definitely say that it is highly enchanted due to the ethereal appearance of the string.

For whatever reason this bow was given to the moon elf, only the Mystic Seer, Sehanine knows. Perhaps she sees it fit that the moon elf be protected from any mischief he may stumble into. Though a note hidden at the shaft of the bow could be seen: “Kyik, if you use this bow to sneak upon me while I am in reverie, you will feel the full wrath of the arcana I wield.”

The Stalwart Scout [Composite Shortbow +2]

Given on the 5th of Tarsakh, 91 Arelith reckoning to the Teu-tel-quessir, Melaa Nia’lese by the Ar-tel-quessir Vilindra Cys’vires, a blade of the luminous cloud. It has been said that the sun elf follows the visions given by the mystic seer on a daily basis, uncovering what mystique the dreams she gets during her time of reverie.

Shortbows are usually issued for scouts since the bulky appearance of the Longbow is such a hassle when one is on the move, sprinting and running. This particular shortbow is made in such a way that the wood is short enough, but holds the strength and recoil the same as that of the longbow. The arch is flexible enough, but holds great resilience when one taps it.

When one pulls the string on this shortbow, a divination circle appears at the sights of it. This divination circle guides the fletchers aim, giving him or her deadly accuracy at delivering each arrow. Also, when pulling the string, one could definitely say that the stronger the fletcher is, the more devastating the attack will be… Thanks to the material used in this bow that is.

For whatever reason this bow was given to the moon elf, only the Mystic Seer, Sehanine knows. Perhaps she deems it right that a bow of this high quality be given to an elf who holds great potential in becoming one of the lead scouts.

The Call of the Seldarine [Full Plate +2]

Given to the half-elf Jenna Le’len on the 15th of Tarsakh, 91 Arelith Reckoning by the Ar-tel-quessir Vilindra Cys’vires, a blade of the Luminous cloud. It has been said that the sun elf follows the visions given by the mystic seer on a daily basis, uncovering what mystique the dreams she gets during her time of reverie.

The armour shines with utmost elegance, a few gold linings here and there, making it stand out amongst the ranks of the lesser races. The armour is rather bulky for it size since it covers the entirety of the body with plates. The cloth that drapes the outsides of the armour is made from the finest of cotton, lined ith a few silken strands to give it an elegant lustre.

If one were to inspect the insides of the chest piece, one could see a few elven inscriptions engraved on it. Upon translation, it reads as follows: “You are the fruit of the Protector, and are guided by the visions given by the Lady of the Dream. Don this armour, and follow the visions… at the end of it all, you will find the Seldarine.”

For whatever reason this armour was given to the half-elf, only the Mystic Seer, Sehanine knows. Perhaps she sees it fit that the moon elf be protected from any trouble the half-elf may encounter. Or perhaps this is a symbol… a calling of the Seldarine, reaching out for the half-blood.

Whispering Corridors [Gauntlents]

Given to the human monk, Denek Smith, on the 25th of Tarsakh, 91st year of Arelith Reckoning by the Ar-tel-quessir, Vilindra Cys’vires, a blade of the Luminous cloud. It has been said that the sun elf follows the visions given by the mystic seer on a daily basis, uncovering what mystique the dreams she gets during her time of reverie.

“The monk walks the silent corridors of the monestary, solemn, silent… not speaking a word. In his traditional robe and sash, he walks, head bowed down. Flowing from his arms, a pair of what appears to be tattered ribbons of the handwrap… flowing gently, freely as the monk walks the within the monestary”

“His stature, astute, his face, calm… his heart, passionate… his soul, free. The monk takes off the robe upon reaching the gardens of the Soulhaven monestary. Revealing the lithe and agile physique, on his arms, wrapped a pair of ribbons… a bit charred and tattered, but flows gently, freely… the breeze warm, serene.”

“The monk takes a calming breath, giving off a sharp exhale as he delivers a straight punch to the air, followed with a firm and precise movement of the fingers… The air flows, freely… gently… along with the free ribbons from the handwraps. His strike, true… his composure, calm… his fist divine.”

“A series of chants can now be heard at the hollowed corridors of the monestary. The monk fights, dancing in the air, free from worry, free of desire… The corridor whispers of only calming words… Continuously… rhythmically… eternally…”

For whatever reason this armour was given to the human, only the Mystic Seer, Sehanine knows. Perhaps it is a sign of trust… from the sun elf, and from her patron. Perhaps it is just an offering in return for the kindness and favour of the man. For whatever reason, only the Mystic Seer knows.

In Coldblood [Lizardbane]

In the adventuring days of the sun elf, Vilindra Cys’vires, she often braved the seas with a couple of trusted companions. Though trust was hard to come by with the elf, she still managed to forge friendship with a few of the N’tel’quess.

Two of those trusted companions were quite fond of the high seas. Hafiz del Khassad, a halfling desert warrior who once captained the Weary Troubadour and Denek Smith, also known as Weeping Willows, a monk of Akadi who once commandeered the Timberfleet for Guldorand.

On breezy night, the three decides to go out and explore Blackfinn Rock. The sun elf was interested because of the probability of lost magics and artifacts. The monk was in for it for spiritual growth and the hin comes along because she wishes to see with her own eyes the notorious tidal giant and try to subdue it with her own hands.

While on the ship, a vision struck the elf in the middle of her reverie. A vision so cold and chilling… a vision of her own death together with that of her companions by the hands of the Sahuagins, the tidal giant among their numbers.

The elf, so troubled by the vision that she quickly does the unimaginable… forging a blade with a diamond edge and steel blade. She mixes her forging skills with that of the art, placing powerful magics that will help the trio in their adventure.

The blade is so sharp that it will cut cleanly a lizard’s scale with a quick swing. The diamond edge of the blade siphons in the cold breeze, sending a chilling pain down the spine of any lizard that it cuts. A set of elven inscription is found along the length of the blade, it states: “In order to preserve the life of my companions and I… I must kill the reptilians… in cold blood”

*Items Produced in Myon's High Magic Ritual*

Selu’kiira

This gem catches your eyes, it captivates you and enthrals you with its beauty… drawing you close with the mystique it holds. In the absence of light, it gives a bluish glimmer. Lighting the nearby object, sending out prismatic rays on all angles… giving a show of light, a show so tranquil it soothes even those with a raging soul.

When held up high, on a dark moonlit night… it gives an even more radiant glow. The light within dances in a circular manner, the reflection of your eyes caught within, it’s image crystal clear. It radiates with dormant power sealed within… though the magnitude of power is masked by its beauty and elegance.

Those of the elven blood would know that such gem holds so much more than beauty and charms. Those who are attuned with the art to a great extent would know that this gem, truly is a “Selu’kiira”, a lorestone of the Selu’taar, containing centuries of knowledge and theories of the Arselu’Tel’quess.

Only those deemed worthy by the stone are able to convene with it. Its secrets revealed to only the most brilliant of minds of the Elven mages. Those wishing to tap the power within will be struck with great force, the damage brought upon those that the stone deems unworthy can range from a delibitating headache that could last for weeks, to that of death.

Ivy’s Thorn [Snakefang]

Not much could be said about this dagger when it comes to aesthetics. It is simple looking, small and easy to conceal like the others. Though one thing seems very odd upon the inspection of the blade… the serrated edge of the dagger seems to give a faint greenish glow.

Its edge is very sharp, each spicules on it adds damage to the wound inflicted, in as much as a saw would work on a wood. Those who know much of herbs and plants would know that it is coated with a poisonous extract of a herb… Belladona. Oddly enough, the coating never leaves the blade, those attuned with the arcana could only ponder what sorcery is at work.

The handle of the blade seems to resemble an intertwined vine. Easy to grip and to manoeuvre, making it a deadly weapon when concealed. An emerald rests at the pommel, inside the gem sparks a pair of elven eyes shrouded in darkness.

This blade is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the weapon is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Windswept Embrace [Gloves of the Hin Fist +3]

A pair of silken gloves, its fabric translucent… refractive… showing only utmost elegance… elegance only found in elven craft. Appeasing to the eyes of the spectators as is comforting to the wearer. The pair of gloves screams of attention wherever it is worn, may it be a ceremony or an informal event.

The laces that secure the silken gloves to one’s wrist flow freely. Flowing like the gentle breeze as the wearer walks, vigorous like the gale when the wearer charges on. The translucent gloves sparks of magic known only to a select few. Any N’tel’quess who would examine it would usually jump to a conclusion that it is just a pair of elegant gloves enchanted through the basin.

Little do they know that they are mistaken, for the magic within holds far greater magic outside their grasp… a magic that only elves could harness, a magic only the most intellectual of elves could practice. The palms of the silken gloves are adorned with a symbol of a cloud with bird silhouette.

The pair of gloves is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Puissant Fletcher (Composite Shortbow +2)

Shortbows are usually issued for scouts since the bulky appearance of the Longbow is such a hassle when one is on the move, sprinting and running. This particular shortbow is made in such a way that the wood is short enough, but holds the strength and recoil the same as that of the longbow. The arch is flexible enough, but holds great resilience when one taps it.

When one pulls the string on this shortbow with an arrow at the ready, the arrow gives a silvery spark no matter what material it is made of. Also, when pulling the string, one could definitely say that the stronger the fletcher is, the more devastating the attack will be… Thanks to the material used in this bow that is.

A divination circle also appears at the sights of the bow upon pulling the string. This divination circle guides each arrow to its mark, enabling crippling shots to be made with great accuracy and precision. It is clearly magical, but for those not of elven blood, they could only see the surface of the magic at work.

The bow is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Chameleon’s Tail (Whip +2)
The spun leather of the whip holds no other feature that its prismatic and ever changing color. It usually copies the color of the garment of the wielder. The most experienced seamstress/tailor would appraise the whip as being made from the leather of a chameleon, its magical ability to blend in retained in the process of making it.

Whips are very much useful at disarming one’s foe, taunting them once the weapon is swiped from their hands with a whip. The whip is made in such a way that disarming a foe is a lot easier… but then again, one could think if the favour could be returned to the wielder. This whip makes sure that the wielder is protected from such, free to swipe his/her opponent’s weapon while keeping his/hers.

A thing to note when cracking this whip is that it sends out sparks in a shape of a starburst with asymmetrical rays. It gives a pleasant yet annoying show of light at a whip crack, seemingly to pester one’s foe more.

The whip is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Primal Fury [Treesmiter]

An amber prison rests at the pommel of the halberd. Within it a leaf of an oak tree is trapped within. It clearly sparks of divine blessing as you take a closer look at the leaf within.

The Halberd holds the true primal power of the beast, closer inspection of the runes and totems, a newer one could be seen at the blade, one which combines all the characteristics of the animals shown at the shaft. A chimaera of somesort, the beast adorns the blade of the halberd.

The Halberd is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Heart of Gold [The Watchman]

Really now?! An elf… using an axe?! Mmmmmm, surely something is not right. But then again, if you look at the qualities of the axe, you could see that it is more focused on its aesthetics rather than its strength and edge.

A peculiar thing to note in this axe is that there are Dethek runes along with Elven scriptures. It states, in both languages: “May our friendship be pure and honest; Set aside all differences in favour of prosperity and joy. Let us enter into a covenant of unending friendship, let this axe be a testament of it.”

Truly, only an elf who is willing to set aside his/her prejudice towards a stinky, grumpy, drunken, and swearing dwarf would hold a blade like this. It requires the purest of hearts, and the truest of love to truly understand the meaning behind the artefact. The one who holds this blade is the one responsible for maintaining the alliance with the Brogendenstein dwarves.

An alliance stone rests at the pommel of the axe. Within the gem lies a heart of gold, brimming with elegance and purity. An oath made by both parties, resting within the stone. Should any of the party break the oath taken, the gem will break… and the heart within will vanish.

The axe is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Deep Cut [Lizardbane]

A blade cold and as sharp as a thin shard of ice best fits the description of this longsword. Its edge so thin, that even a strand of hair would be split into two the moment it touches it. The blade itself is translucent, much like a shard of ice. One could presume that the material used in a blade such as this could only be a shard of diamond.

Elven inscriptions are found along the length of the blade. It spells out: “The blood that never adapted to the shivering colds of the depths shall be vanquished!” Perhaps it pertains to the reptilians who are cold blooded by nature, only those who are of elven blood and practice the arcana would truly know.

Blades like these are given to the few elves who dare the dangers posed by the seas. These blades serve to protect those from raids of the Sahuagins and Lizardfolks. It cuts deep to their scales, sending a chilling pain down their spines… killing them with a well-placed strike.
The curvature of the blade is much like that of a dolphin’s curvature. On its pommel rests a gemstone, a sapphire. It gives a radiant blue glow when immersed in water.

The longsword is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Silken Scroll [Handwraps]

A pair of silken handwraps with a set of elven arcane inscriptions along its length lies in front of your very eyes. The arcane inscriptions changes from time to time, verbal components of the spell could be sometimes seen… at times the name of the spell itself is shown.

The handwraps, when worn, sends out magical energies to the veins of the caster. It enables the arcanist to perform with great efficacy even under duress, may it be during battle, or when casting in an hostile environment. Arcane lights from the ribbons spiral upwards to the arms of the caster, a hint of its hidden magical energies.

When a spell is cast and the caster points out her finger to direct the flow of magic... the ribbon spirals out, revealing the elven scriptures within. The spell is amplified in the process, as the arcane energy gushes out of the arm of the arcanist, the ribbon resonates with these energies. It retracts back to the arcanist’s forearm once the spell is finished.

A constant insignia could be seen at the length of the ribbon, a silhouette of a misty crescent above a full moon serves as its watermark. This symbol could be seen being repeated in the entirety of the ribbon.

The pair of handwraps is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

Lore Guardian of the Ages [Guardian's Halberd]

The halberd gives the impression of nobility and superiority rather than being usually intimidating at first glance. Its blade made of true silver, shone and polished to near perfection, one could easily see the reflection of his/her face within.

The handle of the halberd, or its “stem”, is made of steel. It is crafted in such a way that it resembles an elven staff, complete with all its adornment and the gem that lies on top, within the blade of the halberd. Along its length, a set of elven inscriptions could be seen. It reads: “Let the threads of fate continue, and the history be written on scrolls”.

The pommel of the halberd is shaped like a setting sun when the weapon is turned upside-down, its blade planted on the ground. It is made of refined gold, its lustre screams of elegance when closely inspected.

Weapons like these are given to the few lore guardians of the elves, the select few who have dedicated their lives in preserving the history of the people. Guarding scrolls and tomes with their lives, letting not a single parchment be torn or destroyed on their guard. Some of these lore guardians hold on to their duties long after their time has already passed.

Protector’s Safeguard [Warrior's Bracer]

Made from the light but durable true silver, the pair of gauntlets gives off an aura of might and nobility when worn. Gauntlets such as these could easily deflect sword swing or could even block then when a shield is out of reach.

It keeps the wearer protected at all times, even when spells are flung to the wearer. It gives off a faint golden glow when it is used to parry an offensive spell. The gauntlet will attempt to negate the effects of death spells by expelling a large amount of positive energy to counteract the necromancy.

It is also quite comfortable to wear. Despite its bulky appearance, it gives tremendous flexibility to the joints of the fingers and the wrist… all thanks to the ring mails that links one plate to another. Being such, it will not hinder a healer’s touch when manipulating healing salves and kits. It also has another feature… a sword guard at the knuckle, making sure that the weapon held would not be so easily disarmed.

A symbol of a cresent moon can be found engraved at the forearm guard. It is adorned with refined silver and gold, giving it an elegant glimmer… providing tremendous aesthetics while giving sufficient protection.

The pair of gauntlets is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

The Loreseeker [Ten Foot Pole]

The oaken staff, withered by time and the elements, still appears strong and sturdy. Despite its rugged appearance, it still holds tremendous magic within; magic that could uncover the secrets of a tomb, dungeon… even the oldest the ruins.

The staff, when tapped to the ground, sends resonating waves of sound that could only be heard by the keen elven senses. The waves of the sound gets reflected by the objects around, giving the wielder a mental picture of the place’s interiors… its walls, floor and ceiling… even the insides of which.

A locked chest would not stop this staff from unravelling the secrets of the place. Once this staff is tapped to the locked chest, it will send out buzzing wind from the outside in… manipulating the mechanisms of the lock with the wind and opening it.

A setting sun can be seen engraved on the wood of the wooden staff. You could say that it has been carved rather deeply on the staff’s prime… but now, only a faint picture of it could be seen due to weathering and age.

The staff is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

One with the Land [Boots of the West]
Upon inspecting the pair of the boots, one could be drawn as to how easy it is to blend with the surroundings, especially when worn in the wilderness. Though despite this property, it provides insignificant stealth to those who would wear it since it would usually phase back to its original form.

It stirs the imagination… “What are these pair of boots made of? Were they magically enhanced? Who made them? And why?” Despite the several questions in one’s head, it is clear that boots such as these glimmers with great elven elegance, hinting its roots with the noble curvature that lines its borders.

A silver lining on the sides of each boots gives a faint glow when the pair is worn by those of the elven blood. An insignia is present: three interconnecting rings on a downward pointing triangle, the symbol of Angharradh. A simple blessing could also be felt, a blessing of health, longevity, and purity. One that protects the wearer from all disease.

The pair of boots is one of the many artefacts brought about to Myon by a ritual of complement known as the Sacrament of the Blessings of Seldarine, one of the many fruits of Elven High Magic, the Arselu’tel’quess. In the hands of Myon’s people, the artefact is considered a gift. In the hands of a thief, it is considered a curse as he/she will be hunted down relentlessly by the elves of Myon.

The Oakenstaff [Urdlenite Staff]

The staff stands at about 5 foot tall, easy to grip and is very much light weight. The staff mainly composed of wood that depicts a dried oaken branch. Despite its natural appearance, there’s something about the staff that gives it an ethereal glow.

At the top of the staff rests an amber prison which sits on interwoven leaves. Within the amber prison lies an oak tree sapling, preserved majestically, its youth and energy captured within. When a nature walker holds the staff, an immense feeling of tranquillity overwhelms it… as if being connected with the land he is to protect.

Everything about it seems natural save it’s ethereal glow. The branches it gives off seems to be alive, reacting to the wind, crackling when a gust of wind hits it. The leaves of it swaying with the gentle breeze, remaining forever green despite not being in its own tree. The base of the staff seems to have roots which reacts to the soil when placed near it.

Items given away at Shieldmeet of 102 AR

9th Circle of the Hells (Traveller’s Shield)

There goes a tale of an elven wanderer, who saw much of the land that she tailored each of her equipments to fill her needs to survive in each environment. The elven wanderer even explored much of the other planes, ones that are accessible to the isle called Arelith… a strange place wherein the planes are unstable, anchored to a singular spot for stability.

One of such places is that of the Nine Hells, more specifically… Baator. The elven wanderer frequented the place as such place is very close to where her kindred stays… Myon. The gate to the place is once a fortress they call Light Keep… but alas, this stronghold is now in ruins, and the devils only held back by the magic of those who wish them gone, and the blades of the stalwart champions.

The wanderer was crafty, keen and meticulous in undertaking any tasks that involves the lower planes. As such, she designed one shield that grants her survivability as she explored the hostile place, in search of relics that could aid her in her quest of making the isle a safer place.

At one moment, the wanderer returned to the place she called home… Myon… with some ores gathered from the depths of hells. Her uncanny ability to mend both magic and steel with a flick of a finger enabled her to forge this magical shield, now known as the 9th Circle of the Hells. Having the ore purified and purged, the wanderer continued on with her craft of forging.

The innate resistance of the ore from the hostile environment granted her protection from the extraplanar creatures. That said, this shield is only useful for facing such. But when you’re in the lower planes, it does not really matter… not unless a dragon lurks nearby.

The relic is given to those of the N’tel’quess by Myon in an event called Cinnaelos'Cor… or Shieldmeet. Most of the relics, made by the Cor’selu’taar of Myon… Vilindra of house Cys’vires. An event that was held on the 16th of Alturiak 102AR, to strengthen the allegiance between the Tel’quessir and the N’tel’quess.

Stout Heart (Amulet of Vitality +2)

Links of alternating silver and gold gives this amulet a unique yellow and whitish glitter that sends light dancing as it bounces off each link. Looking at it closely however, one could appreciate the details the jeweler has made. Each link is given a unique rune, silver ones contains an elven rune while those of the gold ones holds a dethek rune.

The runes gives off a pristine spark when touched by those who uses the art. One could clearly see that transmutation plays a significant role in its forging based on the signal it gives as it resonates at the arcanist’s fingers. Also, one could appreciate the flawless finish of the chain, no casting nor hammer marks could be seen along its length.

The amulet has a unique stone made only of the finest obsidian. No chips nor imperfection could be seen as one examines it, a hint that something magical is at work since obsidian tends to break at the slightest application of force. It also has a great resilience to it… quite odd for the material to endure a hammer strike directly.

Such a stone is only known by the elves as the Alliance stone, a relic of high magic ritual of origin… only through the ritual called “Quamaniith”… or a Vow Tangible in common… may such a stone be formed.

The Hunter Hunted (Treesmiter)

Were-creatures are always a bother when travelling to the land only known as Wharftown. They could be found aplenty, at the lush woods near to the settlement… which is most usually referred to as the Forest of Despair. It has claimed the lives of many, those who think they could outsmart the hunter even though they were only mere preys.

Countless patrols were made, yet their numbers still grows strong. This has baffled Myon, and the elves have made a weapon dedicated to extinguishing the threats of this so called “Forest of Despair”. A halberd was made from the magical forge of the elven city, its metal bent and mended by its skillful smith, its edge empowered by the art by its most cunning mages.

Vilindra of house Cys’vires, known for her loathe of the were-creatures, was the Cor’selu’taar of Myon at the time. She stood up, imbued several blades like these and gave it to a few promising individuals so that the threat of this forest may be eliminated. Then again, the forest fought back… now weave eaters roam freely along with the were-creatures.

What a sight it would be when the hunter becomes the hunted… when Malar actually feels the pressure of being the prey… when his minions actually scatter about at the sight of the elven blade. One could always dream.

The relic is given to those of the N’tel’quess by Myon in an event called Cinnaelos'Cor… or Shieldmeet. Most of the relics, made by the Cor’selu’taar of Myon… Vilindra of house Cys’vires. Lycanbane Rapier (Silver Rapier)

A tale comes to mind, a tale of a wanderer with her monk companion… a tale of Vilindra… and Denek. The two braved the forest of despair, wishing to find a relic that would somehow aid them in their quest to cull the lycans that plagued the place. They even went to the great stretch of studying the disease, the monk infecting himself on purpose just so the wanderer could observe the disease’s pattern.

The monk endured the pain of the first shedding of skin… the first transfiguration. While the wanderer held him in place, as she tries to observe the curse. After which, he was given the cure, wolvesbane… the two took the herb, the monk as a cure, the wanderer as a prophylaxis. It has been determined that the first shedding happens on the night of the 27th day of each month.

On that same night of the following month, the wanderer was convinced that such a relic would not be found and thus made a decision to actually make one. A silverblade! One that is forged not by fire and hammer… the wolves howl as the wanderer transmuted the steel and silver in making the blade… perhaps a cry of true despair coming from the forest that bears the same name.

Wall of Bendir (Large Shield +2)

Back in the day, when Burrowhome was dubbed as Fort Bendir, its walls protected its inhabitants well. Bendir was key in several wars across the isle, its location is also strategic, blocking almost any trade routes of any settlement due to its centralized location. In one of such war, Bendir even managed tire down Wharftown to vassalage, controlling its government for a short amount of time.

A small piece of the old wall was chipped away, the elven mage took notice and touches the surface of the fallen debris. Flashes of memories come to light upon contact with the piece of wood… countless battles… stalwart defences… sieges made by the opposing factions. The elven mage saw all of this and took it upon herself to preserve the piece of history that has fallen out of its glory.

The piece of wood she took to Myon, where Vilindra, the elven mage who found the fallen debris of the halfing fort on the ground… transmuted the piece, strengthening it with both her will and her magic… forming a new shield from the crumbling piece of wood. It still appears old, but one could notice that it is still strong, perhaps much resilient than its former state.

A transmutation circle lies at the backside of the shield. With every blow received by the front end, it gives off a gentle light. The light channels to the arm of the wielder, providing more strength with each strike received by the shield. An insignia of the Cor’selu’taar of Myon is placed below it… with the name Vilindra of house Cys’vires.

Fleeting Steps of the Halfling Feet (Boots of Quickness)

Has it ever baffled you how those Speedy Messengers just seem to pop out of nowhere? They would follow you… everywhere, anytime, any day… just so they could deliver a message sent by another. Quite fascinating isn’t it? Also their delivery time is most impressive, sending a message with their best runner, the travel time only less than an hour.

One mage certainly was interested with this, and that is Vilindra… Cor’selu’taar of Myon. Surely the physique of a Halfling would make it slower as they do have shorter limbs which means a slower gait. Then again, that is not the case, is it the speed of each step? Their furry feet? Only one could guess.

The elven mage took it upon herself to unravel the mystery of such a talent of the speedy messengers. She looked for the fastest hin she could find, only to find that hin amongst her “trusted” companions… Hafiz del Khassad. Sadly enough, the hin’s movement is also as fast as her mouth… thus with each step accompanies an annoying Halfling voice.

The hin and the elf went along just fine, it was quite a rocky relationship but they did find a comfortable relationship for each. The mage granted protection for the hin, the hin swings away her dreadful kukris in their venturing days. Quite a sight really… they even saved each other’s lives when their foes overwhelm them.

From the observations taken by the mage, she decided to replicate to a certain extent… the speed of the halfling’s stride. A pair of boots she has made, enchanted… her will placed in making those that wear it more agile. Impressed with what she has created she gives it a nod of approval… as she tries to put the pair on… she tuts… it seems our elven mage has forgotten something, they are Halfling sized.

The Great Disabler (Whip +1)

Perhaps everyone in the isle have seen the city of Cordor. It is a place wherein most of the people of the isles are familiar with. It is a place of rumours, dirty politics, nonsensical debates, and bar brawls. You could walk for countless of hours, always finding Aristotlus street teeming with people willing to take on any conversation may it be because of the booze of the bar, or the hang-over of the boat ride.

A city wherein you would be bothered by the guards by simply having your wards on, a weapon in hand, a summoned companion… and a weapon in hand, ah yes, I did said it twice didn’t I? Anything worth remembering is worth repeating.

The people of Myon knows of this, and thus, they know how rowdy the crowd of Cordor could be. That said, what could actually prevent a fight when both parties have their weapons drawn, ready to swing on the moment one twitches? Disarm them. Sadly enough, only a few people could do so with great efficiency, thus the elves made a whip perfect for such.

The whip is made from a cow’s hide tanned and strengthened by only the finest acids. It tapers to a fine point, making sure that a crack of the blade will catch the attention of those involved in a riot. It sends a firm signal to the assailant as well… a painful lash at their sword arm will surely be a reminder not to draw blades and spill blood on the Cordorian streets.

Elven Mail (Splint Mail +2)

Elves, being known for their craft with magic, have a quite distinct signature when it comes to their arms and armour. Each intricately designed; the aesthetics of their craft is only matched by the quality and utility of each craft they produce. The same holds true for this enchanted steel mail.

The mail covers the whole of the torso, fitting the warrior snugly without limiting much of his/her movements. The abdominal part of the mail holds an intricate pattern of a finely toned six-pack abs, while the chest portion is cut off from that of the other plate. Quite a unique feature of the armour so that either male or female could equip one of these by only modifying the chest plate.

The arm guards that comes along with the armour is made of the rare Theurglass, elven glassteel… giving off an elegant transparent silhouette of plate armguards. It is quite a unique feature of the set of armour, perhaps the one who made this knows the importance of the mobility of the arms in actual combat and chose a lighter material to guard the arms.

The intricate patterns of the armour follows the traditional elven motif. Curved pauldrons downwards, intricate linings that highlights the physique of the warrior within, and embossed highlights of charred steel to give it some depth and definition. Truly, a sight to behold when one looks at the armour.

Tigerskin Leathers (Leather Armor +2)

There comes the tale of Storm Harthglen, an elven ranger of Myon… A proud warrior, a force of nature to be reckoned with. It is with her greataxe that she earned the respect of many, and for those who comes in her way, they get her fists. Do not be fooled, this elf has a pair of brass knuckles awaiting your fore-head.

The elves are fond of animals, there is no mystery to that. But this elf is much more closer to the feral creatures than those of her kindred. It has been told that she once has a tiger as a companion, but not anymore. This companion of her she found near the swamps that connect Cordor and Wharftown. It was not in battle the tiger fell, but because of declining health and old age.

A creature of such great pride would not go without a battle… and as such it has a wish… its dying words to the ranger, a roar of both passion and despairsending chills to the very core as one feels all the emotions along with it. It seems the tiger wanted to be of service to the wilds more, knowing this, the ranger closed the tiger’s eyes, said her prayers, and skinned the animal that its hide may find use.

The hide was presented to the Cor’selu’taar of Myon, Vilindra. And it is through her magic that the animal’s wish be fulfilled. While no longer alive, its skin will find purpose on another form. An armour that blends well with its surrounding, granting camouflage for the wearer as one stalks the woods. Such is a perfect tool for those wishing to fulfill the tiger’s request of protecting the wild lands and its domain.

Bearhide Fur (Hide Armor +2)

Again we have a tale, of a nature walker this time, Bel’andriel Elebin… An elven druid of Myon. Fondly called by her kindred the Momma Bear, as she often look out for them… providing them wands imbued with the power of nature for their protection. She also is quite protective, when venturing out with a group of her kindred, she takes the form of an ancient dire bear… mauling their foes with her claws.

Though due to this nature, she’s often seen fat by many. Despite her average build for an elf, when she does take the form of a bear… people are often astonished by it, from an agile elf… to a huge hulking bear. When the change is observed in a mere fraction of a second, then surely, you’ll also find the druidess… fat, despite her original form being actually quite fit and slender.

The druidess, in one of her ventures to the icy spires of Brogendenstein in search of rare seeds and exotic plantlife, encountered an ancient snow bear. It speaks in a tongue she knows well… ancient sylvian, the language of the animals. It demanded that she face the challenge the bear will offer, a challenge of primal strength and ferocity, in exchange for the information of the nature’s state in the area.

The druidess, seeing the ancient bear’s state… and knowing that the beast is probably on its last days, agreed to the challenge. She took the form of an ancient brown bear once more… roaring then charging head on as the ancient snow bear does the same. Fangs were exchanged… a show of primal prowess most ferocious as the battle rages on. As the snowy mist settles… the brown bear stands.

The druidess changed back to her original elven form… a single tear drop flows from her left eye as she crouches to the dying body of the animal. She feels its heartbeat as it passes by, going slower and slower each tick of a second. With the animal’s dying breath, it gave the information the druidess needed… and also pledged its skin, to further the druidess’ cause.

The skin was presented to the Cor’selu’taar of Myon, Vilindra. And it is through her magic that the animal’s wish be fulfilled. While no longer alive, its skin will find purpose on another form. An armour that hide is as tough as that of the ferocious snow bear. Such is a perfect tool for those wishing to fulfill the ancient bear’s request of protecting the spires and its domain.

Theurglass Crystal Pumps (Boots of the West, Heal/AC)

The epitome of grace and fitness, the pair of crystal pumps represent. While some may argue that high heels are definitely not healthy to be worn at all times, the pair of crystal pumps seems to defy this notion. It is true that wearing such footwear for long duration can put some strain to one’s ankles and toes, and in order to avoid that, the pair has some unique features to them.

Engraved within the soles of the crystal pumps are transmutation circles that aid the wearer to correct her form when walking in the pair. Common problem is that the strain on the ankle and toes simply because of the configuration of the pumps, but this is resolved by the strength of the material and the minor transmutation applied, making the pair of pumps and that of the foot move as one.

Also, the strain is being absorbed by the pair of pumps aswell. The material chosen was that of a modified theurglass that is able to absorb the impact of each step or stride without putting much strain on the foot. The health issues addressed, we now go to the aesthetics…. No matter how ugly or dirty your feet are, an illusory magic is present that corrects this, making your feet appear elegant while within.

But then again, it’s really not socially acceptable for a male to wear a pair of these. But, worry not, creator of the pair has already addressed this. Whoever wants to use these crystal pumps can do so, by simply trying to put them on, the transmutation spell makes a few adjustment for it to fit, whether the wearer be female or male. (A certain cross-dressing arcanist comes to mind… Manobi?)

Woodman’s Stride (Stinky Boots, Hide/MS/Spot/AC/DEX)

Closed shoes are often favored by those who goes to the woods to either hunt, gather, or patrol. One of the reasons why is that they protect their feet from most elements… the moisture of the earth, the spikes of the roots and rocks, and the chilling wind around them. Leg high boots are not that uncommon aswell. It provides protection of one’s shin as one traverses the high grasslands.

The pair exhibit quite a unique feature in them, it seems the shade of green on the pair of boots
seems to shift from a lighter one to a darker one, depending on its surrounding. This provides the wearer some degree of stealth. One could also feel the vibrations of the earth from within the boots… enabling one to react to the hostilities of the environment at a moment’s notice.

Once worn, if fits snugly to one’s foot… all thanks to the laces keeping it in place. It is in a meshwork criss-crossing pattern, from the foot up to the leg portion of the boots. The good fit enchances one’s mobility throughout he woods… one drawback however… As one takes off the pair, one could smell the manly aroma of sweat and sebum, since the pair of boots is a closed one.
