GDPR

Post by Mithreas » Sat Oct 20, 2018 6:59 am

For those not aware of GDPR, it's a set of legislation introduced this year that relates to the storage of personal information about EU citizens. "Personal information" is very broad and includes not just things like your email address, but also your IP information.

Formally, since Arelith has a database that stores information about its visitors, we are subject to GDPR rules. So you'll find you need to accept a cookie policy and GDPR policy before you can use the forums. If the forums are acting screwy for you, log out and back in, and you should get all the relevant prompts.

You'll also find a new page in the User Control Panel that lets you download a copy of all personal information we hold about your account - a key requirement of GDPR legislation.
