Despite my whinging in this thread, I do love the new dweomercraft system. I disliked that item creation was tied to Enchantment or that such a necessary tool required people to effectively throw away 3 feats for the pleasure. The new system is definitely an improvement going forward.

Big thanks to everyone involved in the rework.

Lore-wise, this is the right direction towards creating better equipment, as enchantment had nothing to do with it. That belonged in Dragon Age.

I believe the dev team made the right call, and this probably should have happened sooner than later.

This is also a preemptive kudos to all the DMs that will be doing the hard work of helping those ex-Enchanters, now Dwemoercrafter-to-bes, to rebuild their characters.

Somehow the team managed to make everyone happy and at the same time keep it very well-balanced =) Well done! I'm excited to see what epic fun they come up with for the Epic Enchanters.

I'm also grateful for the work put into this system, despite some adjustments I'd like to see mentioned elsewhere. You guys do hard work and make crazy impossible things happen that I wouldn't have dreamed of ten years ago. Nowadays, it generally seems like where there's a will, there's a way, and there's a ton of will! :)

Defenitly super excited that magic crafting roleplay is now untethered from mind affecting magic.

This is an elegant change on a number of levels, somehow threading the needle on balance and the impacts to existing characters, while simultaneously opening up new vistas both in playable concepts and the application of an entire spell school.
