"Serenity, until the Year of Carnage."
"Until eternity and the Supreme Throne. Until the Year of Carnage. Hail the Dark Sun.
Today, I rolled Tornius Daressin and ended his story after all these years. He gave his life to Vance Gravelle and Cyric, in the end.
I have had the best time ever playing Tornius after the past years, and even more so bringing him back for his final sprint from 2017 until now. In a previous kudos thread, I have thanked the old school characters who were attached to Tornius, so in this one, I'll keep it modern.
If I forget anyone, I'm sorry!
Vance Gravelle
Ezra Murann
Wheua Xun'vir
Kron Xun'vir
Saslae
Kalyin
Pea
Kieros Olethros
Aowyn Olethros
Peter Black
Jadoth Dawnfire
Josephine Blackbourne
Helen Lustar
Lucien Zealsworn
Alastair Casavir
Biggush
Slishk Spinescale
Edoc Spinescale
Amadeo Pnuema
Sydney Harrow
Freydis Holst
Vosk
Gorudan Vintergard
Ghestalt Blimth
The list goes on!
Tornius' story was a crazy rollercoaster; starting as a paladin of Torm, he was captured by Banites and beaten into servitude, rising to become the Dreadmaster of the Banites. Following that, he imploded the Church from within with the help of the Cyricists, thus converting to Cyric. Quite a bit of a journey!
I have enjoyed every single second playing as Tornius, and I will miss him so much. That being said, on to the next saga, I will still be in game on Arelith!
Pictured below; Tornius, dead, Ezra as the Avatar of Cyric, and Strifeleader Vance Gravelle, doing the do.
Praise be.

Tornius was an incredible character. I am extremely glad that I got to roleplay with him during my time as a Banite and afterward as well.
Vahrix Amolyn and Tornius had a very interesting relationship with each other that had many layers to it. Tornius was Vahrix mentor for a while. Then his brother and eventually his enemy. This lead to feelings of love and hatred at the same time between them and was a very fun dynamic to explore.
I think Tornius was a brilliantly thought out and well-rounded character. We had great roleplay sessions with tense hatred between the two (Shadowvar Trade Post.) We also had roleplay sessions where I couldn't help but laughing out loud (The Cartographer and Tornius.)
Thanks for the memories. I look forward to future characters encountering each other.

Tornius and Vance adopted Josephine. She will miss him DEARLY.
So will I, SWEET PRINCE.
Now make an alt just like him so we all don't go through withdrawal.

Tornius... I am going to lose my mind without the:
"Why Hello There!" -Crits Enemy in The Face With A scimitar-
Why do you do this to me?!
I probably knew you the shortest time of all ... but your character was very influential on Saslae's assessment of and thoughts on Humans.

Tornius both tempted Jadoth towards evil as well as helped him realize why he would never be able to fit in with the isle's villains. This often happened at the same time.
He was a very interesting character and I'm glad to have been able to interact with him.

Sarina didn't get to meet Tornius much, but boy when she did.
Uh.
Wow.
Yeah, that.. was a pretty crazy shabang right there, yessir. Won't be forgetting that turnabout anytime soon.
Cool from what I knew about him, mostly from a distance alas.

What a magnificent snuggy-hole.
Valryne will miss that.
Special thanks for teaching her "The birds and the bees - M/M edition."

The one word linking Ezra and Tornius, lmao. Loved it. I still have a screenshot of that, somewhere.

Told you that he was more flammable

This day, Pea lost his daddy.
Tornius was a great character. He was, and I say this without any hesitation, one of my favorite villains on the server, possibly ever. A great combination of scary, dangerous but with a hint of vulnerability there too. Always willing to make great roleplay for others, interacting with him was a delight. He'll be missed both ICly and OOCly

Pea, one of only three people in all of Arelith able to tap into Tornius' softer side, and even then.. well.. it wasn't always rainbows and sunshine.Yma23 wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 3:57 pmThis day, Pea lost his daddy.

Pea, Olivia and Vance were the three, and they all got hurt bad by Tornius at one time or another.
MURDER AND STRIFE, lmao.

Tornius was a delight back in the day, and I'm so glad you brought him back (and came back yourself!) to add another chapter to his story.
Rolled: Helene d'Arque, Sara Lyonall
Shelved: Kels Vetian, Cin ys'Andalis, Saul Haidt
Playing: Oshe Jordain

I have little left to write what I did not say directly, but I wish to thank you for all the good times, and immense energy you brought to the faction and people involved with it, as well for being reliable constant to Vance starting from being enemies to eventual bittersweet end.
Good story, bro. Tornius will be missed.
and a shout out to Ezra as well while I'm at it, being involved a lot with whole of it; a presence in that wicked chamber when one chapter closed. (three cyricists walked in, one walks out. joke is in there somewhere)
Peace.

Tornius will be remembered if the long lived drow has anything to do with it.
As you can tell from Tornius part in the stories I was able to post in Kalyins IC Stories -Flying & The Dark Is No Place For Creatures of the Light - I thoroughly enjoyed every minutes RP with your complicated character. Even if just observing. (Tornius is the Blue Panther in Flying btw)
I am so glad that Kalyin and Tornius were able to have those two last bouts of RP near the end. And I am a sad panda that they will not have another opportunity to speak.
I am looking forward to your next character and hope that our characters will meet up.

Love love love
Kalyin - I read it, and I remember that exact interaction. So good!
Vance - what have you done!?

Remembor, folks, if your friend shows signs of being under the effects of a curse or a hex, bring they to a specialist, otherwise they may betray you and be sacrificed to Cyric!

Oh man. I'm going to miss Tornius! I always enjoyed interacting with him. He was one of the few in Andunor whom Kròn actually liked and Tornius was a bit part of changing Kròn's view on none-Drow.
I feel very lucky to be part of his final moments. Both me and Kròn will miss him!
I look forward to seeing your next character in action
