And so-on...
... and then a 'Drow Warrior' standing over them, following them through the caverns...
Along the way, we had gagged over mushroom spores... shivered in the cold... huddled in the dark listening for splashing and combat sounds not related to us. RPed picking locks... scouting temples.. arguing, bickering, challenging goblins-- RPed arguing over tripping traps...
I had a blast exploring, finding secret places, reading outpost notice-boards and we even captured an (NPC) prisoner of a hated surface race!
So we're on our way back to safety... and apparently, at the same time as this mission ... Ezra Murann's tournament was going on, which filled up the city's and planes server ... so only only 3 of the 6 of us got through to City's and Planes, leaving 3 of us stranded in Stonehold.
So we had Tzu, and Saslae ... standing in the doorway, with portal lenses ready... waiting for the last kobold to get through to the Underdark Stonehold portal room so we could lens out to somewhere safer... And in comes a Hin Wizard, who's name I do not know... found out we were stuck. Tzu provoked him ... so he walked away and went to the portal saying: "I'll be right back."
While later... Saslae tells Tzu: "You know, when 8 paladins come this way, I'm going to do what I have to, to survive, yes?" Kobold behind them still emoting digging while spamming the stairs to the full server.
Tzu said: "So will I."
So... low and behold: A dog-pile of Dwarves came into Stonehold, fully buffed and ready to rumble. And Saslae says: "Good-Bye Tzu." in Undercommon before vanishing via her lens.
Before the loading screen had even finished? Tzu was dead, and in the fugue.
I love kobolds. I love you Tzu. Thank-you for getting Saslae in touch with her inner-kobold. <3
