Alara Player's Kudos and Goodbye

Post by Dunisbane » Thu Dec 21, 2017 10:03 am

I just wanted to bid farewell to everyone and thank everyone for the fun I've had with Alara Thienfalin over the time I've got to play her, old and new. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time running her, as she possibly became my favorite character on Arelith. I wanted to retire her with a final plot before my upcoming break, but unfortunately it seems like real life is getting in the way of my plans and I'm going to have to call it here. There are far too many names to give of characters in the now and retired to thank individually for all of the wonderful roleplay that I've recieved in the long span of her career, but I know you know who you are that you've brightened my day and contributed to a large and deeply weaved story. Please just take this as something happening to her and her passing early, as it is likely the most plausible reason for this sad but required parting. Thank you players and DMs of Arelith. Cheers and good gaming!

Wow, that’s unexpected! I’m really sad to see Alara go. Our toons still had so much stuff to do!
Never the less thank you for creating a great character! It’s been a fun ride. :)

Man, sad to see such a great character go. Kudos for the good times, you definitely made RPing on the server enjoyable for me.

Good luck in RL.

Be the change you want to see, and shape the server because of it. Players can absolutely help keep their fellow players accountable.

Alara was an interesting character to run into! Yeto and Alara were never close and perhaps bickered more than they should have, but Yeto respected and cared about the First Knight! He will be sad to hear she is gone.

Thanks for the fun RP!

Very sad to hear this, I am very glad our characters got to part ways the way they did one last time.

Aw... :(

Jad was never sure if he should punch Alara in the stomach and scream at her to toughen up, or if he should give her a hug and tell her that he will keep her safe.

I enjoyed the interactions we had. Their "covert ops" mission together was a blast ;)

Take care, hope to see you ingame again in the future!

Alara was one of the more interesting elves on the server. Buppi and Alara's little chats will be missed!

Aye, I do hope our little ray of Eilastraean sunshine finds her way home again one day.

Arion never did get that archery competition. Ah well. :(

Sad to see you going :(

I wish whatever is happening in your rl is great and worth taking this break!

We’ll likely be here, with other names, other portraits, but here when you’ll be back!

Hug!

NOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Before I could come back!! Dang it!

Nehala absolutely adored Alara! Nehala thought of her as a sister and one of her only close friends. Alara will be missed!

Sad to hear, but I can understand if RL is involved. Hope you get things sorted out and come back. Always enjoyed all of our interaction.

Idray's pouring one out for her now.

Then again, he was an alcoholic, so I'm not sure how much that means.

Alara was a good character. I wish you well with IRL stuff.

Damnit, I'm going to miss Alara ... >.<; I remember the first time Lacroix met her, and the rather spontaneous table vaulting that happened after.

Some of us ol' dogs might still be in our beloved old skins mind you!

Truly one of Nicodemus' little sisters...the only one he thought worthy enough to be a keeper for Ivy's Thorn since he was tasked with being it's guardian by Archmage Elar'wadra De'gralle!

Our RL concerns are each our own, and I'll just wish you well on your life's trials. You can always find a respite, time willing. If you do find that time, send me a tell! A simple "Hello!" works good!

Of all the characters to tug at my rl heartstrings, Alara is the one that made me nearly cry once or twice. One of the most compelling characters on the entire server and you did quite a good job of making us really feel for Alara, I think. I/Alice will certainly miss Alara (Alice has already bawled over her passing), and as a result the Timberfleet has been renamed after her.

Good luck with RL!

Oh the year was 1778...
