The enemies within - Spriggan event

Post by azrael_athing » Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:45 pm

As the dust of battle settle over the landscape a battered group of Dwarfs and a pair of Gnomes return to Brogendenstein, with them comes Merphez, the last of the three identified leaders of the Spriggan horde, captive at last.

This is a Kudos for what happened after the main battle, starting from the collapse of Golag Mur to the epilogue in the Golden Halls. Here are some of the highlights.

Mykthar - Being in the wrong place at the right time.
Trapped in a room where we can't escape fighting of mutliple Mimics in a collapsing buildling, yet, dying by cave-in seams somehow preferable to dying to Mimics.

Ghestladt - Feeding the flames.
The whole setup with the questioning and trial of Merphez was incredible scenic and well perfomed, Terto had projected all of his hatred from this sevenyear war onto Merphez and was in the end allowed at the grace of the Thane to have a go at him. In retrospect, a very poor choise, to allow a being so broken as Terto to give in to revenge. But it made for some interesting development.

Wotan - The enemies within.
The Gnomes talk alot about Spriggans, and Urdlen, and how easy it is to fall to these dark desires of which he embodies, but we seldom get to act it out. This was one of those oppertunities, and a great Kudos for Wotans response of contrasting hatred with love, instead of fear. Things might have ended very differently had he not.

And ofcourse to the rest of the group still remaining, both for not jumping the gun, and also the points that were being made to counter Tertos flawed newfound ideas.

Great kudos to you Terto. The fall to the "dark side" caught me off guard and those moments in the roleplay are always the best. I'm eager to see what future has for us gnomes and the rest of the earthkins with shadow of "Darth Terto" covering us. Just give us time to catch a breath after the spriggans before setting Arelith in flames. :D

Poor Wotan really want to save Terto. "There is still good in you, a conflict."

Great kudos to the rest of you in the epilogue of the Spriggan saga!
