Dwarfbrother shieldwall in the depths of doom
How is there not a thread for this already?
Come on, baybey.
This one goes out to all the hardcore squats and that one human(and I think a couple of hin?) who held out in the depths of benwick, surrounded on all sides by the damned and the dead, resisting the largest horde of spawned-in monsters(including some of the most dangerous enemies I've ever seen spawned in by a dm for an event) for multiple IRL hours. I think we were stuck down there fighting for about two hours? Still, god damn.
UNBREAKABLE
UNYIELDING
STRONG AS THE MOUNTAIN AND STURDY AS THE FINEST STEEL
Exactly as I'd expect a column of dwarven warriors to be. Almost out of healing, almost out of spells, and guess what? My inventory glitched out halfway through when I was swapping out weapons and I could no longer equip my shield or my second dagger. I had to switch entirely to my ranged weapon just to keep fighting. But damn, we made it through. MY BATTLE BRUVAS
Noli, Naly, Gotriik, Falgrim, Greenspeaker, Bognus, Balund, Burduk, Archamus, Nina and Eddie, my brothers and sisters! I played Annwyl by the way.

Not even a callout for the gnome priestess. The injustice!
j/k
It was awesome. My favorite moment in Arelith so far, watching the forward team burst through the collapsed hallway only to see a dwarven shieldwall surrounded by hundreds of fallen undead.

Whats your name so I can add you. When I said hin, I was probably talking about you!

(Annwyl was also there!)
I loved the moment of walking in and seeing the floor COVERED in bodies, bones and remains, and a mass of Dwarves yelling battle cries on top of a platform.
"...You've been busy, I see."

"All we've actually got is each other. You decide what that means."

I'M ALSO THE ONE WHO MADE THE THREAD
Never tell a fairy to boast of his own accomplishments!
And ye, it was pretty good. That scythe undead they kept rezzing at the end there? We had to fight that thing two or three times.

It was quite an awesome last stand! Bognus, Balund, Burduk and Archamus completes the list of dwarves, with Nina and Eddie too.

Those PDK resets <3
Here's a screenie of the war room when we were talking with the demiliches (just before we set up the shield wall)
And here's the aftermath, when the other team burst in after nearly an in-game day of constant warfare.

My dwarven Lady Noli Torsig first big battle
Even though she was the Weakest of the Dwarven Shield formation (PRE-Epic) she held her ground and never fell to the hordes of evil.
I was out of everything that is available to me at the end [POTIONS, HEALING]
That first push when those Humans and the other forces where just talking on how to get inside of Benwick our Thane lead us to break the evil forces defenses.
That last stand on platform was EPIC.
Had lot's of fun

I'm glad something I said stood out! And the great irony is DM Titania is the dm who was running that event, lol.

I missed this thread but this was a bad Snuggybear battle, defining moment for Eddie. Good times.
