Performance
So, I admit, I was confused by this in the update thread:
"Amazingly, the experience was completely lagless;"
I beg to differ. I experienced completely awful lag at all times in the Cordor exterior areas. I asked one other person and they had the same issue. My hope is that it was just the sheer number of players online, of course. But I'm curious what everyone else did/didn't experience lagwise?

Re: Performance
Was this framerate lag? Or rubberband lag? If it was bad framerate, that's clientside. I experienced bad framerate lag myself, but that was because I'm playing on my laptop which isn't that great with certain tilesets. I didn't experience any lag lag when I was out last night.

Oh, okay. Yeah, that's on me then. I'm planning on getting a new laptop anyway so that's alright.

I was online and observing as a DM. We also have an objective performance tracking site viewable at http://arelith.com/profiler. This tracks "how quickly things are executing", and on the graph, the following numbers represent:MowerQueen wrote:"Amazingly, the experience was completely lagless;"

40- Really bad lag, rubberbanding, conversations taking 15+ seconds per page.
80- Bad lag, conversations can be navigated with some frustration and patience.
160- Laggy, monsters take a while to respond, conversations take a second or two between pages.
250- Very little lag, conversations might take half a second per page and may occasionally take a second or two during a bad period.
500+- Flawless, same experience as an empty single player module.
Last night, for one tick we dipped to about 300 (who fired the hellball?!), but otherwise we were between 450 and 500 for the entire evening. If you were experiencing massive lag, it was caused by something on your end . . . though not sure what that could be!

Re: Performance
Yeah, thanks for the clarification, as Jack Oat also let me know, I didn't realize the difference between server lag and personal lag.
Re: Performance
No problem! And now you also know how to interpret our pretty performance graphs!

Re: Performance
